I think he is saying there is no way Tazewell can run the ball against Abingdon.  That's how I took it.

I agree with Ryan.  Got to play 1 week at a time and not look ahead.  Focus on Tazewell then focus on Marion.

THIS!!! Richlands didn't beat themselves. They got beat by a team with a better scheme and who executed it extremely well. Spin it however you wish that helps you sleep better at night. But they didn't beat themselves.

He's literally the only Richlands fan I've seen that made an excuse. I've put on here and VaPreps that Abingdon had a defensive plan and executed it to perfection. Simple as that. The weather hurt both teams. Abingdon has a better running game. The Falcons employed a prefect scheme. Richlands could have easily won. We made it inside the 5 on 4 separate occasions and came away with 7 points. Can't win with that ratio. Give credit to the Falcons for punching us right in the mouth. 

This had to have been one of the best games I've watched in quite some time. Definitely happy my Falcons won but Richlands is a good football team. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season and playoffs.

Guys it was a really good game with two of better teams in SWVA. Adverse conditions with the weather. It was said earlier in this thread that rain and cold would benefit AHS. Sturgill didn't seem as affected by the conditions as Asbury.

The blues didn't quit. They played hard to the end. It was a great game. The kind of game you would expect. I thought during the game it was looking like it would come down to the last possession and who wanted it more. I know Abingdon had this one circled on the calendar since last year.

This is how we do it at Abingdon.  Generally once they are done with youth league they move into the high school program and weight training system.

Oh it added ambiance.  I got scars on my knees and elbows to show for it.  Least we not forget the coal dust on the field.  I'm pretty sure even the non starters uniforms were dirty from just warmups during pregame.  Good Times boys, Good Times!

Lets keep context here.  Abingdon didn't even play their starters the majority of the second half.  The 2's and 3's got a ton of playing time that game.  Not to mention it was the first game of the year and Abingdon was working on some things.  To be clear, JSB is not a dumpster fire and will give 100% effort for 4 quarters so don't sleep on them.  They lack depth.  Lots of players go both ways and they tend to wear down in the 4th quarter.  If you underestimate their QB he will burn you.  He's quick, shifty, and has good vision.

Don't know anything about Bluefield except what I've read on here but I hope GC comes away with the win.

OK its a crap shoot at best.  But my money is on I-81/I-77.  The red lights alone should be enough deterrent.  On the other side if you go 19, you could always stop at Cuz's for dinner.  There is the one bright spot to taking 19.

This right here.  Anytime I'm over that way I always make time for a Cuz's stop

It's about 4 minutes on the other side of the Claypool Hill Walmart on 460. It's the big barn on the right hand side of the road. They have a 40oz steak there called the "hunks" that is the best steak I've ever had. It's pricey, but in my experiences, it's well worth it.

It'll be I-81 for me when we go play Graham later this month.  That ride up 19 has to be the most boring ride in SWVA.  Once you leave Claypool Hill there is pretty much nothing till you get to Bluefield.

More on the home side than the visitors but there is plenty of standing room around the track.  Last year Abingdon vs Richlands packed the place.  If you want to get a seat in the stands you better get there early cause it will fill up fast.  Just my opinion though.
