Well that could be a problem for Ridgeview. Their best player is a WR but they have struggled to get the ball to him consistantly, not to mention the coaching staff is run 1st.. 2nd and 3rd.

I will say that yes this site may have more RIchlands/Union fans the other school schools, but they are very educated and respectful just like their programs. All they were saying is that when you post a thread about a big upcoming game, they dont want to see it starting out as bashing another team.

I remember when I was young and dumb. But it was when I was on this board at 15, not 20 like you.
 
And I don't attack any poster. But I'll defend my team when we are attacked. I've made friends off this board from Graham, Marion, Tazewell, Ridgeview, Honaker, Battle, Gate City, Union, and more. I show respect to every school around here.
 
You're beginning to make yourself and your team look bad. And you can ask some on this board, myself included, once you lose the respect of the posters in here, it takes a while to get it back. M
 
Just think before you post, man. We could use more posters from the HOGO schools. We don't want to alienate anyone.

Im one of the people that saw the topic of this thread and was excited to read about it just to open it and find that it was bull$#!t.
 
This is a pretty good community we have here, everyone contributes and everyone is interested in football across SWVA. If you just want to run your mouth about a program/team I recommend going down to the nearest gas station, walk around back and im sure you will find someone there who wants to here what youve got to say.
 
Do I coach from the bleachers? yeah I do. But at least I dont run my mouth toward teenagers on the internet

I just got back from the trip I had to make to Alabama for the funeral of my close family member and i just wanted to thank all of you that kept us in your thoughts & prayers and for all well wishes I got on here.  I know this has nothing to do with football,  but I just wanted to thank you all !

Union was JIBs only loss. I was there, it could have been 100-0
 
TV is #13, Hurley is #9. I just took a quick look but I think with a loss TV could drop a couple of spots and Hurley could drop several. To avoid one of the top teams both teams need a W. Whichever team wins stands a good chance of making it to the 2nd round. Lose and face GW, JIB, Galax or Radford... its time to get out the basketballs

Amherst is 4A and Appomattox is 2A. Amherst likely doesn't have kids going both ways. I think they will wear down Appomattox. Could be close early, but eventually it will catch up to Appomattox. Amherst 32 Appomattox 14

That would be greatly appreciated as I will not be able to make the game. What hurts Appo is that they have only been tested in their first 2 games. Im just curios to see how they will repond if Amhearst gets up on them a few scores.

Giles should beat Auburn by atleast 4 touchdowns. That Nelson kid is a brute, but hes definitely not the best rb Giles has seen this season. If Auburn had any type of passing game then the game might get interesting but you wont beat Giles by trying to run up the middle all night. They dont have the biggest line but them boys are quick and get after the ball.

Fellas lets not argue about what happened years ago. Its over and done with, Lets focus on the next 6 weeks. probably the most exciting post season that 2A will ever have. No need to bad mouth each other, especially over something that is way in the past. Lets focus on the present and the future for these great football teams. When Powell Valley was around, yes I heard many negative things about that program but I see Union as complete opposite. They have a good coach, good team, and a lot of class. Giles has a good coach, good team, and a lot of class. Would love to see these 2 teams meet up. Instead of arguing and getting hot headed, we should be getting excited for whats to come!

I appreciate that thread! One thing is for sure, this football season is going to be one for the history books.

I just hope that Giles/Glenvar and Richlands/Union doesnt happen the same day. Gonna be hard to pick which game to go to!

A playoff match-up between Giles and Glenvar could fall much the same way as last year if they were to meet again.  Giles is a very good team.  I have said it before, 2A west is about as evenly matched inside the top 6-8 programs as you will find anywhere.
 
Personally, if Union/Richlands 2 happens, I will be present!  That is the closest thing to a "can't miss game" as we get in SWVA.

Workman from Graham has thrown for almost 1,000 yards and has 13 T/Ds with 2 ints. Has rushed for 400 yards with 5 rushing T/Ds and 1 fumble. 18 Touchdowns with only 3 turnovers pretty good numbers in my opinion.

Glenvar and Radford would definitely be good. Central at Gate City may be a hard fought contest due to the stakes. Grundy at Ridgeview could be another one. Grundy needs a win to solidify a playoff spot.

Glenvar visiting Radford would be my choice.

Burton Radford and GW are the only hopes for 1a west. As bad as I hate to say it essex may be a train that can't be derailed by a 1a team.
