I saw a national High school football publication a year or two ago that had Gate City vs. Union as one of the top 10 must see games for that season nationwide.  Can't remember the publication, but it was on the magazine rack at Food City.

I doubt they beat Giles but Glenvar should continue to slide down and Radford lost a lot with no clear replacements.

Guage Hill and Tanner Artrip have signed to continue their football careers with Emory and Henry.  Congrats to both young men.  It's especially good to see Guage get to continue on after losing all but the first two minutes of his senior season with a knee injury.

Great coaches take 3-5 years to turn a program in the right direction, if supported well.

Ask any Graham fan on the board, when a coach allows fundamentals to be neglected, it takes years to recover from.  This is the case with Fort Chiswell.  When James left for Pulaski and Tom Hale was hired, the seeds were sewn for the next three or four years.  Redtiger is absolutely correct, Fort's current state shouldn't be a reflection of Tiller's coaching ability.  He is essentially starting from scratch!

I'd love to see Todd get it.  Doubt he will though, Fort Chiswell went 0-10 his first season last year...

I watched King a couple of times in the Conference Carolinas tournament a couple of weeks ago.  CJ and Patrick are carbon copies of each other.

Yeah, he's like the Steph Curry of high school ball... Basically if you don't have a body on him, he's dangerous from anywhere inside half court.

I've already been planning an agenda for next week in the case of a Ridgeview win Saturday.  I plan on going up Wednesday night and staying till Sunday.  I'm lucky enough to have a long time friend who lives in Glen Allen off of 295 that I can stay with.  But, I am going to try to find some local breweries up that way, try some new beer.  Try this Sugar Shack Donuts that my friend keeps raving about.... and take in lots of basketball.  

So, it's a safe bet they will do it again then if they both win/lose tomorrow night.  So, Wise will probably only have two games on Saturday.

The absolute worst and most disgraceful one happened last year when they took the entire 1A West Volleyball tournament away from Rye Cove and moved it to Marion because Auburn threw a hissy fit about having to go to Rye Cove.  Rye Cove was in the tournament.  They didn't deserve to have the tournament taken from them if they were a part of it.  I can understand the scenario of Floyd and Chatham above a little bit better.  They're both 2.5+ hours from Wise, sure, if they want to play somewhere else, go ahead.
