Not trying to argue but I don’t remember anyone saying their run is coming to an end just a lot of complaining about their classification.
Below is collection of quotes from the past year predicting the struggles of Riverheads in 2A.
"Riverheads days of domination will be over come next season."
"Riverheads beat George Wythe but will get absolutely smacked by most 2A teams."
"Riverheads cannot compete with the top teams in 2A. They will find out soon enough when they get to play Appomattox, Graham, Glenvar..etc.. They been bullying around those smaller 1A teams for too long"
"One could tell the Riverheads to enjoy the big dance this year because they may not even make it to the floor next year in 2A."
"I've said for awhile now that they (Riverheads) couldn't hang in Group 2, and apparently they know it "
Does the Arby’s do single day passes and can I get them at the door? Always wanted to go. I only say full tournament passes online.
Under the FAQ section:
Where can I buy tickets?
Tournament passes are available for purchase online by clicking here. You can also purchase tournament passes in person at the Viking Hall Athletic Office or at any local Arby’s location. You can purchase individual tickets to each session at the gate starting 1 hour prior to each session’s start time.
I'm hearing rumors that, in an unprecedented act of revenge, Richlands has pulled off the unthinkable and hired Stephen Maganbauer as the ultimate "eff you" to Salem.
UPDATE: The Maganbauer hire hit a snag after this man was spotted lurking around the equipment room at Ernie Hicks.
I'm not sure if Virginia High was his first head coaching gig. He did serve as an assistant under his dad at Blacksburg as well as being an assistant at Brookville and Amherst County.
Not sure of the reliable source, but I heard, that someone heard, that someone told sombody who heard it from a close friend, who was told by a reliable source that the announcement would happen before Christmas break. No mention of who would be announcing or what year it woud be announced, but it's going to be announced.
"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl that..." ~Simone Adamley
This frustrates a lot of folks, but it isn't entirely about revenue. The league is trying to assure that fans and parents from different games aren't competing or being knocked out of prime seating to watch their respective games.
This has been an issue with basketball in the past. A venue fills up and fans don't always leave after the first game, which means fans arriving for second game end up with less seating and/or less desirable seating. In basketball, parents have literally been denied tickets at VCU to watch their kid play in the State Finals or Semis due to venue reaching capacity (due to multiple games being played).
The league has since tried to prevent this from occuring ever again.
I get your beef, but there is a precedent that led to this type of decision and it isn't greed on the part of the league.

I appreciate your explanation but it’s not my “beef.” I was simply offering an overly simplified answer to the question “why such a long gap between games?”
I've been to multiple championships recently at both VCU and Salem Stadium. What you're saying at VCU for basketball and volleyball is/was absolutely correct. If the VHSL is claiming this change was necessary for football seating, it's completely bogus. You can show at kickoff and sit on the 35 or better, and virtually no one stays for both games.
