I usually go to every home game, but I always try and get there right before kickoff so I probably won't make any appearances but it's super cool of you to do this and I'm sure a lot of people will take you up on the offer.

The 93 Appalachia Gate City game when Appy wins on a flea flicker late was also a good one

There are new white uniforms, I don’t have much detail, but I am pretty sure they feature navy numbers and are the elastic kind this year. 

Helmets still ant a finished product yet... But looking good

Union is going to a 7 on 7 at Eastside this Thursday 13th...Something like 5-10 teams
FYI. 

Cant forget the 2014 games vs Richlands with the score on the last play of the game from Tanner Hall to Bryce Spears to complete the 21 point fourth quarter comeback... led to the Bryce Burger, or the Lee game from that year, the infamous catch/no catch from Austin Jessee on the final play. 

Given that Norton City has its own independent school system, and that it would take a majority vote from its school board to consolidate, it would not appear likely to an outsider that it would be closing.

When Union went to Dan River in the playoffs, And I saw Bailey Turner throw a bomb to James Mitchell between 2 defenders to win it at the end of the game. Wow!!!

I don't have much of a horse in this race but, I have some family in Grayson. They feel good in what they have coming back for 2019 and competing 1A
On another thought and subject I feel Carroll Co will go 500 or better in regular season for 2019... Any thoughts on this?

with andy jones transferring looks like brody gibson will be the guy. thats what im hearing

7-3 would be a FANTASTIC season for the Bears. 6-4 seems like the likely outcome but they could be a tough out in the playoffs if they gel on offense and finds a QB.
 
Lee, Wise, GC, Battle, and Letcher should be Ws. Richlands, Paintsville and Ridgeview are toss up being at home, but at Graham and Abingdon are Ls.

The BIGGER SCHOOL rule does not really stand up, D B gut thumped by GREENVILLE,Union played Betsy on even terms,Appo played and beat bigger schools. Here is a quote from my former coach and former D B head coach GRAHAM CLARK: X's and O's will match up on every great program but the jimmy and joes who come off the bench to fill your holes in the 4th quarter will be the difference. He also compared the OLD LPD schools who won state to being as good as if not better than those teams who won state there, but numbers count.It is easier to find 22 great players in a school of 3000 than it is in a school of 700.
Greenville had a great run so did Appo, as well as PV,APPY ,GILES,GRETNA AND OTHERS. D B has under achieved for sure but thats the game.

1.  I feel this year that Graham (Last years state champions) has a lot of returning players, and will be the team to beat until someone knocks them off. 
2.  Abingdon will do really well playing 2A teams around SWVA; until they have to play 3A playoffs. 
3.  Ridgeview will have a nice team returning, if they get everyone back.
4.  Pretty much from here, Union, Richlands, and everyone else has a lot of work to do to compete.  I'm not sure how things are going to turn out after the top 2-3 teams. 

Appo is still somewhat young, but if anyone from C/D is gonna get them, better be this year.
 
And I hate gossiping on here about a HS soph and his decisions. If he wants to play, good for him. If not, that's cool too.
 
Union will be nasty on defense and has 3-4 very capable RBs with Polier, Guerrant, Lomax and someone else. But the OL has to be rebuilt and Union needs consistent QB play.
Bears will have one of the better defenses in Region D, But the offense is a big ?  I expect Abingdon to be the best with Union and RV battling for second and a top 4 seed in region. No one is scared of Wise or Battle.

He may not have had a stellar record,  but his teams were well prepared and very competitive. Against Union at least.
