It was 2 years ago and yea Dixonncalled the plays and you are right about execution! We had some seniors who i believe packed it in after the first few plays and were going through the motions through the rest of the game. It wasn’t the finest hour!

Ben is 6, Beeman is gone, but Ben will be on a play count this week so it may not be as close as I would hope. But come playoffs hopefully Ben is full go. 

dixon was the one calling them out and dixon isnt there as we know. last year we only lost 7 -0 in regular season. then Ben gets hurt missed the playoffs . we missed ben more on D than O. then in playoffs we had a freshman at qb and then he got hurt trying to run over 57 and you dont try to run over 57 then down to technically the 4th string qb after that then got boat raced. Luke "2" is the QB not Ben. Ben only played QB last year because Luke had a ruptured Pec muscle so he missed a year playing and is still a little rusty. Last game he came to life and now 3 weeks off guess we will see. 

No way calling that now! Will be a lot closer than that. 

Are they under covid? Heard they cancelled Hurley game this week because they were covid restricted 

With all due respect the Tazewell QB that I saw vs Graham doesn't have the arm to pick anyone apart. He throws a decent short pass. But if Richlands line is pushing Tazewell's line back then he won't be able to throw. Richlands 35-21 IMO.

That's a lie!! I talked to the board of health here in Wythe and mask mandate is over Friday! GW wanted to play Monday according to GW AD and graham said no which I cant blame them since they have their biggest game of the year coming up Friday. trust me I've  begged our AD to play Saturday but they wont and they knew graham would turn down Monday. The excuse I got was 2 practices were not enough to get ready but seems like every other school 2 days is plenty whos dealing with covid. If you really want to play 2 days is fine.

No way to know this, but it sounds to me like George Wythe offering to play Monday so they could "practice" was a saving face attempt.  They knew Graham had Bluefield on the next Friday and knew that offering to play Monday would result in an obvious no.  Well played attempt by George Wythe, but one easy to see through.

Harris having 20 rec for 174 yards is great and all, but 8.7 yards per catch. In this same game, Cayden Cook-Cash had 10 carries for 222 yds which my non-swva math tells me is 22.2 yards per carry and is indeed greater than 8.7 yard per touch. Also he is a Sophomore (And had these type of games as a Freshman). Also he had 4 Touchdowns. Also his team won by a 'run the clock so we all can get the heck out of here' margin.
Ok, let's look at pass catching: The 2nd guy in the VHSL record book for single game receptions had 372 yards to go with his 19 receptions, which is 19.57 yards per reception. Again, my 'northern' math tells me is over 10 yards per touch better than what happened on Saturday. Riverheads has a senior receiver that has only 9 catches on the season but has 215 yards from them which is 23.9 yards per catch. Maybe the colleges need to come running to look at him since he does more with less opportunities and his effort has been part of 5 wins and 0 losses this season, and the kid has yet to lose a varsity football game.
Nothing against the Harris kid. Hope the best for him. But is it just the swva bias that has people saying why they can't understand why this 150 lbs kid isn't being highly recruited? I watched him have a lot of opportunities. I'm sure you can hand the ball to the same kid 50+ times a game and that might show up in a record book, but what would actually be accomplished? Also, excuse me for not being plugged in, but his last name matches that of the Head Coach. Is that a coincidence or are they family, or should I be polite and not imply maybe that is the reason he got an exaggerated amount of oppurtinutes when it wasn't producing a winning formula in this football game.
Just looked like a long handoff to me. Still in front of the defense and I didn't notice huge yards after the catch. Other than his name being repeated over and over, I didn't even think it stood out at the time. 
I'm sure this will be taken as disrespectful or something, but just pointing at what these numbers really meant. 20 receptions is great but I'd sure like to see about 400 yards to go with it and maybe a trip or two to the endzone before the 4' tall kids were out there on the defense. Heck it was just a few weeks ago against this defense that Lord Botetourt had around 25 yards per reception and had 3 passing touchdowns and were in the game. That is more impressive to me than this.

You only get so many guaranteed games in high school and ducking a team an losing a game to me isn’t worth it! U don’t get better by beating soft teams! GW could have played graham Saturday from what I’ve been hearing and they chose not to!! Even with a loss they still will make the playoffs! Kudos to Galax for going out 7 players down and playing! That’s how you get better! Not sitting around for a month and doing nothing like GW will be doing!! Iron  sharpens iron!!!

so they were not around any other football players? dont get me wrong, they way this BS called covid is being handled is crap. GW had 1 player test positive after being at a dance outside mind you and they shut the whole thing down. there is no uniformity to this at all. i think you guys did the right thing and GW did the wrong thing.

I’m not sure why George Wythe refused to play on Saturday when Graham offered. That would give GW four days of practice .  They’re out of Covid protocol tomorrow. Other teams have played with less practice including Graham. It doesn’t speak well of their staff in my opinion. 

No referee issue That I heard of! It’s sucks for the kids to lose a game for no reason what so ever! I heard today graham did reach out and was told no! Not sure if that’s true.  Yes graham is good and has a 99% chance to win! Playing them would have helped GW in the long run!!
