As you well know by now, we're on the same page here.  But what do ya do? 
Although, I will concede, the perk of host district tournament in your barn when you win the regular season is nice.
Still yet, hopefully we get out of it when the contract runs out since it's starting to become appearent neither side is particularly happy with the arrangement.

Could have stayed in the MED and played the semifinal and final of the district tournament at Radford University. 
 
I kid, sort of. Narrows in the Pioneer will never not be strange to me. 

No.  Narrows was wanting to play at East Mont.  East Mont voted with Narrows for them to host.  The rest of the district, whether it be principals or AD's, voted that down and voted for PM's proposal.  Travel time would've been the same for both and East Mont already had a game scheduled there already anyway.  Instead PM gets to travel 20 mins down the road to a gym they've played in twice already this year. So, it screws Narrows on travel, and screws a fellow member school out of potential revenue.  Dirtbag move by the other schools IMO but I know, if I was a Narrows coach going foward in any sport, I'd remember it. 

Congrats are in order Sir. I'm sure you are excited and proud just like your son is, and both of you certainly should be.

Definitely agree with this  especially - Jeff Williams getting 0 - that program is in shambles over there.

Giles will continue its 7th year of rebuilding next season. 

5 points---Shane Allen, Galax. Rough start against a powerhouse schedule, but everybody said you can never count out Galax, and you still can't.                                                                  4 points---Zane Quesenberry, Ft. Chiswell. First year had coach. won more games than Fort has won the last few seasons combined. Made play-offs and pulled off what some called a 1st round upset, at least seeding wise. good job.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  3 points---Brandon Harner, George Wythe. Lost a lot of key players from a 1A state runner-up team, but still competed with the big dawgs of 1A as his team seemed to get better as the season went on.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               2 points---Scott Mikowicz, Auburn. first year head coach taking over a really struggling program. Broke the team's seasons long winless streak by not only winning 2 games, but won those games in back to back weeks for a little 2 game winning streak with the 2nd one against hated cross county rivals E.Mont. This program hasn't been able to complete a schedule for the last couple years due to lack of players. He had enough players to play all 10 games with no cancellations or forfeits. Hope that's a good sign for the program.                                        1 point---Stephen James, Grayson Co. Preseason favorites from most around here to win region C and a good bet to be playing in Salem for the west. Had a fine regular season to finish 9-1, but struggled in both play-off games and finished getting shut out by a team they beat in regular season. I personally think James has a lot of his guys practicing year round, so maybe they were as good in week 1 as they were going to be, as other teams got better as the season went on.                                                                                                                       0 points---Jeff Williams, Giles. You are wasting your time HB7. Anything said remotely positive about Giles and this cat is swinging opposite. It's pretty clear the Giles 9th and 10th grade classes are far more athletic than the 11th and 12th grade classes to any human who has ever seen both play. It's not even close. Does that mean they will be Better? That's a whole other ballgame there, but they are definitely more athletic.

And to get better than 3-7 don't take much to be honest....I didn't say we would win state just be better than 3-7

Got to get in the gym and stay in the gym starting.........this morning before school hopefully.  The younger one's are very athletic, fast, and have good ball skills/just all around good athletes, but if Giles doesn't really hammer home the physical strength issues, we will see more of the same.  If we do place increased focus on strength and conditioning and truly address the issue, the younger ones from JV have a great chance to do great things. 

I’m proud of those boys. Giles loses 13 seniors and I think at least 9 of them are starters. Would’ve liked to have seen them go out in a different fashion. No way that Grayson makes it out of the Region.
