Never been to a Haysi game in Haysi. Guess that's about to change since the game is Saturday! Looking forward to the trip over.

Ryan and bigrhsfan that's exactly what I meant. I'm just going by what you are putting on the field now. That being said, I believe you guys still haven't played your best football. This team isn't lacking talent, just seem to be missing that killer instinct we have seen in the past. The more games they play, the scarier they become. Good luck this weekend guys

If you want the Richlands fan site, there is one. This is not a Richlands fan site. Bluefield has the most posters, they just seem to have hidden this year. You are getting as fair a shake as one can get. Some fan bases have more fans and that's just a fact of life.

Puliing hard for Honaker. Just a very difficult task to travel that far and then beat Honaker on there own turf. Just don't see it happening. Honaker by at least 10! Good luck Tigers

Man are you wrong there !  A Richlands fan site...........my god man,  do you read the post on here !  There are a lot of Richlands fans on this site because we love our team and the Blues for years have had one of the biggest followings around here,  but you will see just as many that do not like Richlands !  Most RESPECT our coach and where the program has gotten too, and has stayed for several years !  We have EARNED that respect with years of winning,  but they're still a lot that don't like the blues and you see many post against them.
I try not to respond to stuff like what has been on this thread and try to keep everything about football,  because i just believe that is what it is suppose to be about,  but I can promise you, this is not a Richlands fan site.
  There are just about as many fans of other schools on here.  Richlands is talked about a lot because we have been winning for a lot of years now,  just like Gate City, Graham, Bluefield, Clintwood/ Powell Valley ( now union )  and also Honaker and Haysi are there,   but a lot of the blues talk is not always positive..........in fact, a lot of the talk from the other fans is usually something against them,  and that is their opinion and their right,  as long as it doesn't get personal about the kids.
  Don't take the football talk personal and let the team earn their respect on the field and don't try to earn it on here.  That just will not happen.  It will backfire.
  Wins earn respect,  and it usually takes more than just one season.
Sorry for that,  I hate getting involved in this type of stuff,  it takes away from the kids that have earned big wins last week and have a big game this week.  Just my opinion.

sorry i'm late to respond. Just seems to me you guys don't know how to win without the chest thumping...overall your program has been way down for many years, which, trust me I know the feeling...but once you finally win a playoff game you just don't know how to act.  In contrast to teams like Honaker and Clintwood or Richlands who have been winning for years and you just don't see them doing it.  Don't be so hungry for respect to be given, just earn it.

Actually if you'll go back to the beginning of this thread it was the VHS posters who got their panties in a wad over a Marion poster picking Richlands.  Then it escalated.    I don't have a dog in the fight between Marion and VHS posters, but let's get the facts straight.  You VHS guys seem a little thin-skinned.

I was getting ready to post something very similar until I read yours.  Anyway,  this pretty well sums up my feelings on this weeks game and VA High.
Any team that beats Gretna.........especially at Gretna,  deserve much respect and will get that respect by Mance and his staff and the players.
I do disagree with Bearcat Bob on his earlier statement when he said " I believe the Bearcats win a close one or get blown out "
Bob,  I believe this is going to be a close game which ever team wins !  The last game was very close through the 3qtr and it was a hard fought game and you guys have clearly gotten better with Kiser at QB !  The Blues are finally about as healthy as they can be and Michael's has gotten more experience plus the younger guys that have come on board since the JV season has ended have added some depth,  but the Bearcats do have a serious advantage of speed and the Blues have the advantage with size.  Should be a great game !
And Jethro,  if you want to be taken seriously on here,  making statements like that ( I think Richlands is scared ) along with some of the other statements you have made, will not help your cause.  No team that is playing at this time of the year is scared of playing anybody...........especially a team with the playoff experience that the Blues have.  Doesn't mean we will win the game,  but I can promise you one thing,  this team is not SCARED of anybody !

Yep. VT Has 11 shots at winning the Coastal division. Duke with 10. GT and Miami have chances, but are basically dead in the water without a lot of help.

I knew I would be in for a good thread when VA High won, but Jethro is knocking it out of the park this week.

I believe Jethro is south bounds twin so I stopped responding to him a long time ago. Without a doubt it matters that Coach Davis and Coach Wells is on the other side of the field. With the exception of maybe two starters they have been with these young men since 8th grade and in some cases longer. They know there strengths and weaknesses very well. So we have to except that and prepare for that. Then on the flip side Mance knows them very well. After all Mance took Wells under his wings and helped Coach Wells become the respectable Coach he has become. So it evens out to a point.
 
When it comes down to it I agree with my friends on here that it comes down to execution, turnovers and heart. I believe the Bearcats have the better athletes and speed. That being said Richlands will be ready to play. They will be well coached and fundamentally sound. They will also hit you hard. They have showed a level of intensity the past couple of games that this team just hadn't showed up till now.
 
I do have respect for the Bearcats and the way they have been playing. When you go to Gretna and beat them.....You now have everybody's attention!!!!! They for sure have Coach Mance and the Blues attention.
 
Be there early it should be over flowing at Ernie Hicks Friday Night. May the better team win and I hope its the Blues!!!!
