I was hoping this was a story on Southbound and Falcon Man being banned from the internet but this is a great story too.

Blue Tornado's seem to fair pretty well in the mountains.......it seems that Falcons don't seem to fair very well in the mountains of SWVA !
This should be a very good,  hard hitting, Graham/Richlands football game !  I think the Blues pull it out at Ernie.........but of course, I am a bit biased.  Should be a really good crowd for both sides and a great atmosphere !
I hope everyone has a safe trip to and from all the playoffs games this week, and all the players come out of the games injury free !

Last Thursday I went to St. Louis to see my favorite sports team, Chelsea, play in the states. It's a little over 500 miles from Richlands and about 9 hours of driving. I had an absolute blast, and even got a chance to meed legend11 at the game since he lives in St. Louis.

I have responded to your posts about Abingdon's coaching before, and im going to again. I really hope you don't think im trying to argue with you, just offering some perspective.
 
What makes a high school kid think he knows jack about a defensive scheme and how it will matchup against a 4 wide spread team?  The fact that that young man looked at his coach and questioned his decision on scheme tells me 2 things, 1 the parents have been questioning the coach in front of and to the player(and that is cancer to a team), and 2 the parents have led the young man to believe that he has a right to question his coaches knowledge of football.  Now theres nothing wrong with a player saying "hey coach, why don't we run this stunt or try this against what they are doing" or during a game saying "they are blocking us this way, if we do this we could get some penetration" , Coach Colley would come to us JR and SR linemen and say "what do you guys think will work or what do you want to run?"  but to openly say "coach, your scheme is wrong, we should change" is over the line.

CONGRATS TO COACH MANCE ON HIS 150th WIN!!!

Here is my opinion on this...... Clintwood is overrated compared to years past.   They've played 3 teams all year.... an upset at Union,  lost to Haysi and a big loss to Honaker.    I don't think Clintwood would beat Union again if they played 9 more times but did when it counted.
 
I mention that to get to this...... Haysi has 1 good win IMO and it was against Clintwood.       
 
We'll see how right I am...but IMO Haysi is a paper champion...and Honaker will beat them by 3-4 Touchdowns.   Honaker has a solid ball team...not as good as last year IMHO though.   If I'm right on this...it's more of a sign of Haysi being a little overrated than it is Honaker being this dominant. 
When it comes to SWVA.....Ft. Chiswell is our best bet at a State title this season.

Here we are. The last week of the regular season. It's been a crazy year. Some new faces to the pick'em have been up top. Some old favorites have been up top (I'm looking at you, Canes00). Some usual big hitters are down this year. Shaping up for a fun playoffs!!!! 
 
Here is how this will work. The top 16 make it into the playoffs. The first 3 weeks of playoffs will be bracket, single elimination. When we get to the Pick'em Playoff Finals, the two participants will pick the HIGH SCHOOL SEMI AND FINAL weeks. The scores will be tallied together, and we will have a winner.

After the 11/1 high school games, 2dalejrfanz is leading. He correctly picked Va High with 60 points to get all 5 points possible from that game. Has a 2 point lead. Check back tonight for the update after the college games. 

Just ran some numbers. We would need Abingdon to beat Marion and Bluefield to beat Wayne as well as Gretnas opponents to get beat to have a shot at 4th.

Time is here. Game is primetime tomorrow night. There are so many story lines in this game. Manning returns. Luck vs. Manning. AFCs best against an AFC contender. Irsays legacy. Luck stepping out of the shadow. Etc.....  I've been a Colts fan since 98-99ish. So this game is going to be absolute hell on me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Colts fan first. But seeing the man who made us what we are come back in a different jersey is going to be rough. 
 
All that said, I truly believe the Colts have a chance to win. Landry is back. It's at home. The Drum will be loud and crazy. I just think this is our time to shine.

Congrats to the Blues on their win !  I think they are finally getting healthy and they got to play a lot of young kids in the 2nd half.  Always good to get the young guys some playing time on Friday night under the lights !
Congrats to Graham on a great win for them !  Tazewell seems to really be getting better each week and will be a Vary good team next year !  That must have been a fun game to watch !  Congrats to the Abingdon players on their win.
