Like the ankle that he injured during the playoffs. Also do you think Jeter will eventually have to change position? How long can he keep being an everyday shortstop at his age? Where would you put him if so?
Pretty crazy that the all-time home run hitter (Bonds), all-time hit leader (Rose) and the guy with the most Cy Young Awards (Clemens) will not be in the Hall of Fame anytime soon.
What if the 2-8 team plays a tougher schedule than 3-7? In my opinion neither should be in, but it's a tough argument. One has more wins, one played tougher teams. I guess we will find out at the end of the regular season.
The Holloway kid was a beast on the line for Tazewell and Jeff Lamie was a great athlete who just made plays. That '86 Tazewell team was loaded. John Rainey was great for the Bulldogs in the '60s.
Don't forget Darryl Wilson from Virginia High. He played in the NFL for one year and was a great athlete at VHS in the 80s.
Think about being a high school kid playing for this school and live near the North Carolina border (I am assuming some kids live that far from the school).
Let's say you live about 40 minutes away from the high school and you have a Tuesday night basketball game at Franklin County.
You don't get back to the school around say 10:30, have a 40 minute drive home, some homework to finish and then you have to get up at about 7 a.m. to go back to school the next day.
That would be extremely tough.
The '12 team is the best basketball team in the world. No doubt.
The '92 team changed the world in terms of basketball
A lot of the European players now playing in the NBA give credit to that team for stoking their interest in the sport as youngsters.
