I thought reason Amburgey and Colobro both left was because Reed took over play calling that season and pretty much started doing it all like he did at Central when he went 1-9...so the playoff loss wasn't really on Amburgey or Colobro but more of Reed taking over total control because of failure to delegate or handle someone else getting credit for any success. Then after he ran them of he went to the smash mouth football scheme.
Actually I have noticed as girls get older they tend to get worse in sports. Either burnt out from parents pushing them travel when they were young, finding boys, having social lives, or just lose interest as they mature...
Colobro is the difference between Reed at Central and Reed at Abingdon. I think in 1 more year after this one ,that difference may show again for Reed.....
Its a peel back block. The offensive player clearly leads with his shoulder blindsiding the defensive player. Had the offensive player led with hands it is legal. He did not, he led with his shoulder peeling back hitting the player. You can even see on the play that the offensive player has to come across the body of the defensive player so it was a blindside. I have no dog in the race. Not child at Va High. Dont live or root for Central. It clearly is a blind side block. You can tell because the offensive player had to fight to get his head across the defensive player meaning.....it came from behind or....THE BLINDSIDE.
Looks like Lebanon Boys will be looking for a new boys basketball coach.

If he did resign over player turnout for weight room good for him! Parents whine and go to board members wanting coaches removed. Then when you get a coach, the kids don't show up. Coach can't make kids show up, without the help of parents to hold these kids accountable. I think the loud voices who keep wanting new coaches need to go home and get their house in order.
Hit it on the head. He is physically unable to do the job. They had to drive the car up to the dugout for a lot of games. The man had a great career and is a legend, but he was physically unable to do what the job requires.
Travel sports, low enrollment from people leaving area, bad generation of parents, technology, and kids are just plain sorry. That is reason football and most other sports are down.
