Ridgeview has played nobody. It is very hard to tell if they are great or just a lot better than bad teams.

I do agree with you to a certain point, times have changed. I have worked with a lot of youth throughout my 70 years and I find that they are very good at adapting to structure and rules. If you let them know up front that this is the rules we will go by, and then enforce those rules with kindness, living by them yourself, they will adapt to the structure you have laid out. I have had a few rebell to a certain extent, but after explaining the reason for the rules, they got on board with the program pretty good. I'm not suggesting dictatorship from the coaches or the parents, but society itself has slipped into lawlessness to a certain degree, and leading any kind of program can not be succcessfully done without structure and following the guidlines of that structure. Not to ramble on, and it's just my opinion, but most (if not all young people) would rather live by the guidelines or rules, rather than live heter skerter in a lawless society.

Most definitely. But 2 players can’t carry the team.
Sounded like a great game, even though it was mostly offense. And slightly nerve wracking 😂

Folks, I have the pleasure of being around a few athletics programs due to my profession and I see an alarming trend going on locally in the aspect of discipline.
Programs that used to have depth and stability no longer have that and are grasping at straws in regard to talent.
If you hold some of these young men accountable, they will leave the program and never return. Sometimes that will snowball to other players leaving, "Come on man, we don't have to put up with this."
With the lack of numbers, I see coaches afraid to be tough to make players better men because they are scared that their numbers will dwindle or at worst their parents will go and cry to an administrator who will back the parent regardless of the situation just to please.
It's not what it used to be and let's not be too fast to blame the kids because a lot of this starts at home.
Just my observation...

I actually think Richlands is better than people think. Yes they still aren't great but if they play other games with the same intensity, I see them winning several of them. The rivalry always brings out the best/worst in both of the teams sometimes.
