Heard through the grapevine that late last night some guys in Red Ash were cooking meth and actually made an Ernie Hicks hologram so... I think we've found our coach.

I have an empty trailer in the bottom that has never been flooded, equal distance from not one but two Dollar General's and a good walk from Grants.
That offer is more than enticing. 

Probably Harbaugh. 

Or maybe…just maybe…he figured out that (1) he could draw full VRS while (2) teaching gut HS classes and coaching football while (3) living 20 minutes from the ocean and (4) being within 30 minutes of several world-renowned golf courses.

Mance wasn’t scared of Palmer.  If he were scared of challenges, he wouldn’t have gone to Loris, which was a doormat before him and now is competitive.

Or maybe Mance is decades older and at a point in his life where he wan'ts to coach football and play golf every day, and there's no better place to do that than the Grand Strand.

My third pick.  Richlands - Devon Johnson.  Stud running back, Stud Linebacker. Received national attention at Running Back for the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Last pick.  Richlands.  Mike Compton.  All-American Center at WVU, Super Bowl Champion with the Patriots.  Opened holes for Barry Sanders with the Detroit Lions.

My first pick.  Richlands - Justin McCracken (2006 State Championship QB.)  Simply the best pro style quarterback that I ever saw in high school.  He had the talent to play on Sunday.

Too many accurate posts to quote and/or like. To sum it up:
1. Tough loss. Not much fight. 
2. Union is very good. Consistently at or near the top of 2D.
3. The schedule does not get any easier until Tazewell. That won’t be easy, either, but definitely relative to those in between. 
 
4. I’m not conceding 2-8 yet. Given recent results, the remaining SWD games are winnable.

I was in my 20s and no dog in the fight but I know when I see a great team and that team was great. Why Vaught thought he needed the cleats is beyond me. That team was winning, period. 

Truthfully, Richlands probably could have won in tennis shoes. They were that good that year. 

All that junk aside, it was had to get much of a read on the Blues (as expected). They had 20 boys in street clothes being held out for various reasons. I expect Brown to have a big year, but the season will likely hinge on how quickly Simmons comes along at QB with basically an entirely new cast of WR. Have to have some sort of passing game to make a defense not just load the box against Brown. 

The scrimmage was over. Everything went off without a hitch all day until the end. Varsity got done and everyone started to leave except those staying for the dance party and fireworks. 
 
Two guys came in as the dance party was starting and were apparently very, very much drunk. 
 
I’ve never heard that the guy fired the gun, just that he had it in the stands. Someone kicked him out of the stadium and something happened on the way out. They got in a car and fled the area, but apparently flipped the car pretty quick. Then they took off on foot. 
 
They caught both guys but while they were searching for them, they did lock down the stadium and then sent everyone home. So the only things that didn't happen were the dance party & fireworks. 
 
But yeah, that safety list will 10000% be passed now. 

It’s only Richlands. Instead of just a Blue/White game, they’ve made it into a day-long festival. 
Varsity will scrimmage. JV, middle school & RMFL will all scrimmage as well.

Richlands is gonna fall in the mid-to-low 60’s sounds like. That’s an uptick from last years numbers. 

Kalib Simmons I believe. 

I mean — this literally the exact same schedule as last year. They could go 4-6 again (just like last year) and nearly upset someone in the playoffs (like they just about did to Ridgeview). 
 
I’d rather play the schedule that makes you better than feast on JI Burton, Eastside, Honaker, Hurley and Rural Retreat. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Kudos to Coach Tarter! Benefits the program in the long run though unlike some  in other districts that are upset they can’t play little ole Bland County and have to find a tougher opponent. No knock on the Bears intended. They’re trying to keep the program going.

Here we go with our yearly,  "It's Tazewell's year!" nonsense again...

I only have two predictions for this year...
1. @cityofRaven will get a lucrative endorsement deal from Happy Socks.  There's no one better at endorsing game day socks, that's for sure.
2. @EH31 will still not pay his debt by providing each and every member of the board with a Frosty for an epic failed wager from a few years back.
That's all I got.
