Mance ripped off James Colley (Haysi). Colley masterminded that offense 25 years ago, Hell one could argue most of D1 NCAA must've gotten a hold of a few Colley game films. I said it here people, the modern spread was invented in Haysi, Virginia 25 years ago.

That appears to be a high school football game that will be played this week.

Hurley beat a previously undefeated Grundy and Galax lost to Fort. Therefore, Hurley leapfrogged to #1. Its not what PH didn't do its what Hurley did. 

Hurley did their talking on the field! Yall said Hurley hasn't played anyone.......you are right.....Hurley still ain't played anyone this year!!!!!

Yes you can make it from Abingdon to Grundy easily in 1:35 mins. Take rt 80 at rosedale, cross drill mountain and take 460 the rest of the way. I lived in honaker and traveled drill to Hurley and the trip was 55 minutes.
 
Now concerning the schedule strength. Hurleys first string hammered central in the preseason. Hammered castlewood who beat honaker. I'm seeing the makings is a blowout win for Hurley. Just my two cents.

Don't mention tougher schedule or someone is likely to get offended...
 
 
All jokes aside, I really like Hurley in this one. Tester has built a program from almost nothing over there and I really would like to see the Rebels make a solid run from the Cliff this year. 

Winning teams will always have a larger roster than losing teams and Hurley has had some good seasons since Coach Tester has taken over. I said earlier our enrollment hinders us from being able to compete with larger schools regularly, in such a way as if a school with larger enrollment numbers has 30-40 kids come out to play there is a greater chance that a higher percentage of those kids will be better athletes as opposed to a school with smaller enrollment numbers. Regardless of what your wife tells you, size does matter.

You guys know I was being facetious with that score prediction, right? In reality, I'm going with 35-29. Graham will get to 27 and botch the snap on the PAT but then convert it for 2. That will happen with 1:12 left in the game.. AHS will get 1 first down after that and then run out the clock. Book it. (don't you love when someone says "book it"....it immediately disqualifies everything they said).

I hope in few years tazewell and hurley play. Hurley is doing good. Keep up good work. I'm bulldog fan. I know defense hasn't been the best.

11 clean jersey's coming on the field as good as the 11 walking off pays dividends. absolutely agree with you.

But its not 11 on 11. Its 22 on 22, except when a really small school plays a school twice their size its 22 v 11.  This years Hurley team could play with any school in SWVA other than Union or Richlands but wouldn't win many of those games. Numbers make a big difference.
