Doors open at 3:15, he will speak at 5:15. Must have a ticket to get in, tickets are free if you can find one. Dosen't matter who you plan on supporting this is a big day for a small town like Lebanon.

I choose not to waste valueable gas money to hear someone who is a chicago elitist and the only reason he is here is not for us but rather for himself. Barak is very slick ,I am sure many will be seduced by his smooth speech. My Pastor heard him at the Israel conference in Washington DC. He spoke pro Israel there but afterwards changed his position. Barak ,your smooth just like Bill Clinton 'I did not have sex with that woman;.... yeah right, lol.

I went to see him at Va High in June...not going to fight the crowd again...it's worth going to see if you have not been before...but, just not going to wait in line for 9 hours to see it again...I'm sure people are probably already in line if the Secret Service hasn't run them off....at Va High they wouldn't let people form a line until 6am I think it was.

It pales in comparison to the 14 % approval rating that congress currently has, which by the way is currently controlled by the GODLESS Democrats!

Bush has a low approval rating but so does Congress, a democrat lead congress.

I'm a disgruntled Republican slightly leaning toward McCain, but would like to clarify one thing.

You cannot blame the low approval ratings of congress on the Democrats. They did not have majority numbers until January of 2007. Since then, particularly in the senate, the Republicans have become obstructionists. Nothing is getting passed. Everything is being filibustered. As the Republicans may lose six to eight senate seats in November, I foresee that changing, as the Democrats would have almost enough votes to bring any bill to cloture.

Did you have to have a ticket to get into the Va High event? Why would people stand in line if you already have a ticket? Im waiting to hear from a friend if I have ticket.

This is how I look at the issue of abortion.

1. Look at someone you care about very deeply, Mom, Dad, Child, Friend.

2. Wouldn't you push them out of the way of a speeding car, donate time to help them out in trouble, give them money for an operation to save their life, ect.

3. Look at how important that person is to you.

4. What is the diference of saving an unborn life that hasn't had the basic Constitutional right of Life? Or saving a loved ones life?

5. I know that circumstances evol out of rape and incest and other horrible ways, but if you look at the statistics abortion for these reasons happens not as often as the proponents of pro-choice may claim.

6. There are ways to have a baby without taking the easy way out or looking for a government handout. For example adoption, Women's Center's, and local churches.

If you put a "face" to an unborn baby, then how could you possible say that it is alright to destroy "murder" one.

Real tight security plus the Gym will only hold a little over 3500! Could you imagine the crowd if you did not have to have a ticket? I hear they are not even going to open the parking lots until 3:15pm after all of the school buses have left. No cars will be admited into the parking areas with out tickets, I've heard?

yeah you had to have a ticket...the line is long because the Secret Service has to scan everyone that enters with metal detectors so it takes forever to get 3000-4000 people in the doors.

he'll probably be back around...next time let me know and i'll get you a ticket...I had 4 extras last time and turned down 4 this time.

You really think that he'll be back in the area again? Only two months until election, and hes already been in the area 4 times, I dont look for him to come back around here. It wasnt so much that I wanted to see him. I just thought it would be cool if he did become President to say that I saw him speak in person. But, Ill keep the offer in mind if he comes back around. Thanks.

yeah i think he will be back...who knows where though...VA is a "battleground" state...

I don't see Virginia going for Obama. I just don't. I think Obama would be better served to get up here to Pennsylvania (a traditionally blue state), another "battleground" state with more electoral votes in the mix.

Anyone see the newly released footage of McCain being released from a POW camp thats on the news now and cnn.com ?

I tell you what...my great uncle was a POW in WW2 and I have a lot of respect for what these guys had to go through.

side note...McCain looked JUST like Steve Martin though when he was younger...watching that old footage made me think of the movie "The Jerk"...he looks just like Martin from about that timeframe.

Clodhopper, We have disagreed in the past about the speed of Giles' runningbacks, but I agree 100% with you on your politics. Im a Christian, Im against Gay Marriage, and abortion, but I wont let the smoke clog the issues. You wont vote rightousness into the Whitehouse no matter what. I wont fall for these games anymore. Some of the most evil, greediest folk in the USA hide behind the republican platform. Corruption is already shining through the McCain-Palin ticket and its not even started yet. Anyone who totes a lunchbox to work needs to vote for Obama. This country will never be socialist. We have always had some socialist ideas in place. Communism is made up of only rich and poor as well, and if the republicans shrink our middle class any more, thats where we are headed. Nobody is going to change anyones mind here, and that is clear. I respect people who feel they are voting for their morals. I just feel people are getting duped.

I am a Christian and I cannot in good conscience vote for someone who is not pro-life. God says we are not to shed innocent blood. The blood of 40 million babies is on the hands of this nation. Obama at the Saddleback Forum could not even answer at what point conception of life takes place. He said that was above his pay grade... Am I to vote for someone with this lacking of commonsense. To me he knew the correct answer but bowed before political expediency in order not to offend his base. You can talk all you want about the middle class and the economy, but until this nation repents and comes clean before a pure and holy God we will not experience national blessing and prosperity, but rather more national degradation. Degradation such as violence as never before, divorce, rampant perversion, alcohol and drug addiction ,over crowed prisons and jails, high suicide rates, political failures, economic troubles, etc. God says , your sin will find you out,I believe it has found us out.

Would you like to elaborate on how Republicans are the most greediest, evil folk?

How about how Bush has lessened the middle class? Maybe thats because the median pay rate HAS INCREASED. Might want to check that out too, Factcheck.org will lead you in th eright direction.

And lunchbox toting workers? Do you even know your candidate? the same one that claimed there are bitter Americans clinging to their guns and religion? Well guess what he was talking about lunchbox carrying citizens. Seems like a man who doesnt understand me, so i guess in your world i should vote for him. Why should I vote for him when he opposes tax cuts, has increased taxes for the middle class twice, and has no proven accomplishments.

You are the one falling for the Liberal media and it is truly saddening.

Its called RESPONSIBILITY!

Its what this country was founded upon!

The message is "Stop passing the buck and take responsibility for your actions, it is not the governments job to raise folks children!"

On another note the recent bailouts of AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is evidence that our government is becoming SOCIALIZED and there appears to not be a single thing that we can do about it. Unfortunately, those companies should have been given the same mantra BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND DECISIONS and suck it up or go bankrupt.

Read my lips no one corporation is so big that we cannot afford for it to go under, but our government is saying that by bailing these folks out................

Politicians make deals (does that = corruption?). Guess that depends on the lens that you look thru. There are some glaring facts that give me pause on this election. Obama has limited experience in the political arena. People ask for instances showing his contributions as an elected official. You want find anything of substance because of his limited time. We are a country that is balancing precariously on matters of foreign and domestic policy and it amazes me that people want put Obama in the highest elected office. Experience should count.

I'm not sold on McCain as yet either. I am disappointed in his choice of running mates and consider it as an attempt to sway the female vote to his favor. He certainly had better choices and choose to try and manipulate a high portion of our registered voters.

Both talk of party separatism, yet each has a voting record contradicts what they have preached thus far. Obama has voted party lines at least 95% of the time while McCain has supported party 80%. No party separatism there.

"CHANGE" and "PARTY COOPERATION" seems to be the battle cry of both candidates. While I certainly wish to see this country make a turn for the better there are parts of each plan that causes me to itch.

There is one issue about this election that disturbs me as no other. The young registered voters that I have been in discussion with have no real knowledge of either candidate, yet most seemed inclined to support for Obama simply because it is the "popular" thing to do. Regardless of whom you or I support I think that it is critical to get these young men and women educated on such matters in order to make an informed decision instead of a popular on.

Hate to tell you but the President isnt going to attack the issue of abortion, they just use that as a huge plaform issue. There has been a Republican president in office for the last 8 years, and there is still over 1million abortions each year!
