Im just hoping their not still holding last weeks loss over their head and still down about it, that is definitely a game you definitely don't need to hold your head about, especially with a younger squad like we have, on a road game. Be proud you can even compete with a squad like the blues like we have for years

Thank you to everyone for all the prayers, calls, and txt. Houston has been transferred to Johnson City Medical Center and admitted to the hospital. Ortho is gonna see him for his broken clavicle to determine surgery and we're waiting on a MRI for his neck. We've been told he has a cervical strain of a ligament in his neck and has a collar on for precautions. He has been very emotional and keeps apologizing saying he let his team down. He's sleeping now but I've shared all your msgs and prayers with him and he loves and thanks all of you. I'll update as I can just keep praying for my baby. Thank you and we love you all

Always like seeing the respect between these two teams fanbase on here. We all know this has become one of the biggest, if not the biggest game in this area lately. I don't ever recall seeing one of you blues fans making excuses, trash talking or bashing our fans/players on a missed call, losing a game, etc. I can't say it doesn't come from the stands, but I will say it doesn't come on this forum from either side.

Oh absolutely. The fact y'all went 10-0 last year was as much a boost for us as anything. Losing by a missed XP in OT to an undefeated doesn't exactly drag us down.

One thing goes for these Union boys tomorrow night, if we lose you have nothing to hold your heads about, I'd much rather take a loss to a respected well coached richlands, than a low scale team like eastside, im sure the same goes for Richlands

Union had boat loads of trouble with the power running of Clarke last year in the playoffs.  Each year is different but it should be no surprise that they struggled with the run in the first game of this year.  I expect they will fix that this week and play better v. Richlands.   I think ole Leatherhead is just hoping they are "overhyped" this year.  It is tough to give up the mantle of king.

One last tidbit of information...
 
One of the biggest and best gun shows is being held this weekend at the Prince William Fairgrounds over in Manassas.  It is about an hour away from Berryville but if you have never been to this show, it is something to see.  I always leave there with a bit of new "hardware".

Word has it that someone from Union complained to the VHSL that Clarke's stadium only seated 2200.  The VHSL requires at least 2500 for a semi final game so...Clarke has acquired bleachers from surrounding schools to stretch from light pole to light pole on the visitors side, increasing seating capacity to 3000+.  There is a lot of standing room around the end zones but they reportedly do not allow spectators to stand on the track.

Get past CC.Play Union football and do not make as many mistakes as the Blues made and you will be State Champs.This Blue Fan is pulling for the BEARS!
