Appo gave them a run for their money last week too
Not really, I never felt like Appo had a legit chance to win after the first quarter. They had no answers for Clark. This game I thought was much much tighter and Radford was very lucky to escape. Glenvar should have won the game but fell apart when it came to crunch time. That’s a positive for Radford tho, having to win it at the end, fighting back against a deficit, etc. could really get them focused for next week.
Guys it’s one game and it was a rematch. I wouldn’t bet against Clark having a fireball game after the nail biter tonight. But the 2D winner now sees some cracks, running the ball should be there for either team.
not sure it’ll matter tho, Riverheads is an absolute machine and CCC is the best player in 2A. I’m converted. I was sure Clark was the most dangerous player and Radford wouldn’t be stopped. I was wrong. Riverheads is not gonna be stopped and CCC is the most dangerous player.
Riverheads fate was to get bumped up to class 2A. Maybe Grayson should have accepted the same fate and went to class 2A instead of throwing their little temper tandoms and threatening a lawsuit. Who knows they might still be playing this week lol.
You think they’d have a better shot against Radford or Appo or Glenvar? Not sure I agree lol
See I thought it said that but when I went back I read it as 58% like Varina game.
Good call I missed that. But even in a lot of regional finals, one team is a significant fav. You’d hope all games were within the 70-30 range for a region final but some teams just that much better or some region stink.
I don’t believe so but he may have gone in a few times but I don’t recall him playing on D the past few games. I could be mistaken.
If he’s healthy I’d play him at S this week. It’s win or go home. Same with Reyshawn for Union at S. Move Chandler inside and bring Rey in to help with Clements if he gets loose.
Very athletic and fast, Floyd played injured in the last match-up, but is healthy now.
Are they tall? I can’t remember from the first game. I don’t think anyone around here can stop Huff by himself if Reyshawn can get him the ball but if Graham has athletic DBs Reyshawn has at times sailed balls so they could snag one.
If it’s in the 30s, Graham wins. If it’s under, I like Unions chances. If Clements is held under three scores, Union should be able to match that and win. The offense can really grind on you but the second you stack the box, Huff and Bostic and Bunch will kill you. How are the Graham DBs?
I know some teams (PV included) that would have the scout team offense practice without a ball against the starting defense to drive home assignment based defense. You have a key and that is who you tackle every single play. And if someone is pulling, follow them!! lol
Tazewell had good size, they were the bigger overall team. The Union group wore them down and really got after Creasy early and often. But they did a good job of not allowing the big play and made Union work for every TD. Creasy missed a few easy ones but had some beautiful throws. But the guys who mentioned his stats against good teams were proven mostly right. Costly INT, one TD, 200 or so yards. More athletic than I maybe gave him credit for and has great touch in middle of field.
