This call had me irate. Calls were awful on both sides all night but this one just put the Cherry on top. Those officials should never have the chance to officiate another game.

I think Graham has the people to match big plays.  What Graham needs to do is lean on them every play.  If you are bigger and stronger you lean on your opponent the whole time.   Make them feel the mismatch every play.  Graham has a young QB.  You protect him by not putting him in a position to win the game for you, and not putting him in a position where he can loose it for you.  He’ll come along.

This analysis is spot on. Good ole Freddy always has a trick play or two up his sleeve. For Graham to win, they have to stop the big play. That’s what kept Bluefield in the game last year when Graham should have shut them down. A 27-12 lead at halftime shouldn’t end in a 29-25 win, even though Graham won. Bluefield always has the mental advantage for whatever reason. Palmer has done a good job at changing that aspect. Graham has to get over the fact that the team lining up against them has that beaver on the jersey.

I know it's just a glorified scrimmage, but damn I am ready for some G-Men football!
Safe travels to the fans of James Monroe making the drive to Bluefield.

If Graham is ever going to have their own stadium, then seating needs to be added when the turf field is going in.
I understand that it would cost a pretty penny, but with the amount of donors Graham has, it could be done. We just had a donor contribute to the weight room for upgrades and equipment.
I also heard a rumor, someone fact check me, that another donor took care of the fee to use Mitchell this year. Graham has the money.
I love playing at Mitchell and the amount of history on that field is second to none. But there would be something sweet about driving up to GHS for a home football game.
A 4,000-5,000-seat stadium would be more than plenty. The only time it would be full is vs. Tazewell, RIchlands, Union, and playoff games. Keep the Graham/beaver game at Mitchell.
No disrespect to Tazewell or Richlands, but Graham is without a doubt the most successful football program in the county, they deserve to have a place to call home.

I usually don't miss a home game and we have more people show up than what people say.
I will say that our fans usually don't get into the game unless it is a big one, and if the weather is bad, then yeah we don't have a crowd.
If we had the same size stadium as Tazewell or Richlands, the home side would be close to full if not completely full.

Stu I've read that on here in past but ain't sure I agree with that all the way.  When Graham came to Raddy, they packed it.  I watched GMen play Richlands 4 years ago and 3/5ths of stands were full.  If one side holds 5,000, that's 3,000 home fans.  Some of it might be Mitchell Stadium.  If a side holds 5,000 and it's only 1/2 full, you still got 2500 people on that side but it looks like a small crowd.  I saw GMEN against teams other than Bluefield about 4 times in last 10 to 12 years.  Their side was always over 1/2 full.

Every Graham game I’ve went to we have a very good crowd but expecting a 2A school to fill Mitchell every game is pushing it. I’ve only seen bad attendance during bad weather. Graham travels well too and every game I went to away we filled the whole visitor side.

If I'm a Graham fan, the seats/bleachers/field/parking are all Number 2 on my worries.  My worry would be..........Hopefully you Graham guys will do the right thing and install your very own........

I agree.  I felt that Graham had the better team last year and controlled the game for the most part,  but Bluefield made some improbable plays that kept them in it.  Bluefield always seems to have a trick or 2 up their sleeve and you can never count them out.  The years that Graham has won, they have had superior line-play and I think this year, Graham has superior line play and has some depth on the line.  As far as athleticism, I believe the teams will match up with each other very well.  Simon is not afraid to do some trick-er-ation and it seems more often then not, that Graham has been burned by it over the years.  I do believe Palmer is 3-4 against Simon as a head coach (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) and this is his chance to even things out.  Huge Question Mark for both teams will be the QB position.  I think Graham's line is good enough and their run game will be good enough to not have to throw the ball much.  Not sure if Bluefield will be able to run successfully on what looks to be a stellar D-Line and linebacking corp for Graham.  If Bluefield can throw the ball, they may have some success (however, Graham does have Clements, Hass  and Floyd lurking back there in the secondary).  Gonna take a heck of a team to beat Graham out of the gate, usually the defense is a head of the offense early on and Graham has some studs returning on defense.

I'm sold on Bluefield.  Bluefield started 0-4 last year, then went on a bunch of wins and gave Indepedence a war, an absolute battle on Indy's home field in the playoffs.  Indy won the state title and nobody played them remotely close in the playoffs (other than Bluefield).  Indy took Fairmont Senior completely apart.  Bluefield, by the end of the game 10, was the 2nd best AA team in the state of West Virginia last year, and they were unfortunate enough to have to play Independence early in the playoffs.
Guys, just my opinion, and many Graham fans in my opinion would probably agree.  Don't sleep on Bluefield.  This isn't the only time in history where Graham has been favored by most to win a 3rd game only to be shocked.  I don't know enough about either team to make the call who wins, but 'I am going to make this prediction.  Graham ain't winning big over Bluefield this year.  Bluefield returns to much from what ended the season as a very, very good team.  The loss of Hairston, at least looking at it on the surface, would have me favor Graham, but I have no idea.  As down at Bluefield has been, look at the Ridgeview series the last 2 years.  Ridgeview had 2 very good football teams the past 2 years, and Bluefield still went 2-0.

The winner of this game will have an undefeated season and state championship. The loser will only have one loss and a state championship.
Graham is always the underdog no matter how good of a team they have. Bluefield will be ready to play after losing the past two years.
If it wasn't for Bluefield's rb being injured, I would say Bluefield will take it this year. But I will be a homer and pick the G-Men to win in another very close game and beat the Beavers 3 years in a row for the first time ever.

I don’t think I have ever seen that before on any level of sports. It kind of reminded of the Florida/Georgia game years ago when the Georgia players stormed the end zone. Richlands has had the mental advantage for years and Tazewell tried to send a message. So far Richlands has the advantage

Had either team played a high caliber opponent in a playoff game tonight they'd be cleaning out lockers Monday. Neither team played anywhere near their best game. Here's hoping we see a round 2 and a best effort from both teams. Poor job by both Turner and Palmer tonight. I know I'll take heat for this, but you will NEVER see me dogging on TEENAGE kids. That is classless, punk, garbage stuff, but when you're an adult that is compensated to do a job it's a different story. You even still rarely see me all over the coaches, but tonight both failed to ensure discipline and control. Way too many garbage flags in this one. The standard at both Union and Graham is better than that.
