Listened to second half from Salem. Don't have stats. From what I heard in broadcast, Central absolutely gashed Union on the ground and played ball control offense and killed clock.  Up 21-7 and having Union on the ropes with a good drive just gashing Union on the ground, they turned it over (fumble) in Union territory in the third qtr. If they don't do that, I think they would have scored and gone up 28-7 as it sounded like Unions DL was really winded on that Central drive. As crazy as it may seem, this game may have actually been slightly worse than the final score in the way Central just outplayed and out-physicalled Union.

Holy Cow!!! Big deal on upsets in aisle 7. 

That's what I'm saying,  I think some of the Union fans on here aren't giving their team enough credit.  I guess some are Union fans and some are not, but Good Lord man, Union's defense is stout.  It's pretty bad as# for a 2A Virginia Defense and getting 119 not just against Union, but with an offense in which is run oriented, and one in which Union knows is going to Run the Ball makes it even more impressive.  I'm surprised he wasn't a bit hurt by the third quarter.  That kid showed me some incredible toughness.  He was getting popped not just by one player, but by multiple players, and again, on a nasty and vicious defense that brings the wood every play.  I was more than impressed with Adkins.  
One last thing and let me be careful here because I want to make sure that "I let the coaches coach."  In one fans take only, just an opinion, not trying to be the coach, just an observation, not a parent, not angry or anything like that, but just a thought........a few more screens if you are Ridgeview in the form of bubble screens, hitches?  Especially with the crazy good WR they have that touches the ball about 5 times per 4 quarters?  Just sayin........I wasn't impressed with Ridgeview's play selection, but with that written, if you are used to running, running, and running and don't throw many screens, it's hard to turn into a screen football offense in one night, so I get it.  But from here on out, the Ridgeview staff surely has to know and understand that every team in the state of Virginia that knows anything about Ridgeview will be playing run and stacking 7 in the box, and more times than not, walking another 1 and sometimes, 2 more into the box when the ball is snapped.  Brothers, you gotta insert some bubbles and hitches in your offense.

I don't agree to that either.  I respect your opinion.  Polier is a beast and he's a better defensive player, but Adkins is a better offensive player by A LOT.  That's right, by A LOT.  Adkins is that good as a RB, period.  He's major.....major D1 FBS caliber as a running back and he's recruited that way for a reason.  He's legit.  I also read where one poster stated Polier had a better night than Adkins at Running Back.  I don't necessarily agree with that either.  Put Polier on the Ridgeview side and see if he gets the yards Adkins did when 5 players are hitting him as soon as he touches the ball.  What Adkins did against Union was incredible in my opinion.  He almost won the game.  He kept them in the game when they were outmatched.  Polier has a far better supporting cast around him.  When Adkins is starting on Saturdays in 2 or 3 years at an FBS school, we can revisit this thread.  The kid is a freak at running back and he isn't bad on defense either.  He's no Polier, but he isn't shabby by any means.
The above is just one guys opinion, but I'm sold on Adkins.  I had my doubts about the competition in the past.  After seeing him against Union, I'm more than sold on him. He's the real deal and more at RB.  Regarding his attitude?  Please folks.  Yes, the kid was frustrated as he was getting pummeled as soon as the ball was snapped and sure he was frustrated after having it easy for the early part of the season.  Being frustrated doesn't equal a bad attitude.  The kids wants to win and he's a competitor.  He got frustrated.  No big deal.  By everything I heard from Ridgeview fans, he's a good kid.  

Honestly the noise is not that big a deal for the offense if there are no audibles being called and honestly that is not the case 95% of the time. 
 
It can be a hindrance to hearing the play blown dead by an official which could lead to some late hits not sure if officials take that into account when throwing the flag in that situation or not

This game won't get out of hand or ugly. I have watched this team for years and they don't do that stuff. None of those coaches or players or families that were involved in that mess are on this team. You are just trying to stir things up and set the stage.

Haysi had two 1000 yard rushers and a 2,000 - 2,500 yard passer in their last year. They were about 50/50 pass/run when the first team was in. More dangerous throwing because Coach Colley didn't care to air it out, but very balanced. This is from memory. I wouldn't swear to the numbers.

It will 100% continue. Brady is going I to law school in NC this fall, so we are still working out how it will all work with that aspect. 
But both of us will be back, and we are planning several preseason shows like we did last year going over several topics. 🙂 

BlueDevil4life2008 its less about no one having the guts to discuss the issues and more about what apparently went on and it involving juveniles. I know I wont talk about those type of issues on here.
I dont know Chris Kelly but he was apparently treated very poorly by some athletes at "The U", and it was allowed to go on by coaches and administration. Then they remove him as a solution to terrible behavior by players. 
According to his sisters statement Goforth had nothing to do with the original decision to remove Kelly from school activities and now that hes acting principal has decided to keep him involved.  
Sports can be a beautiful thing in people's lives but it can also be very ugly.  The whole situation at Union is pretty ugly
