I don't see D. Palmer leaving either. From the outside looking in the Graham staff gets along very well. They all seem to enjoy working together and helping the kids. I may be totally wrong but brother or no brother I think he stays at Graham.
I have often times been a critic of Tazewell not playing with energy or having a bad mindset. This Tazewell team turned a corner in my opinion this year. They may not have beaten a great team but they never gave up like years past. If they can continue to build off what this team has started it'll a big step in the right direction. The talent is there.
We are all entitled to our WRONG opinions on the broadcasting side. Mayor of Raven in the booth and on Pigskin Pigs is always the right call, but the headphones as a coach... Makes ya wonder!
How could they go wrong picking anybody from Raven and/or Jewell Ridge? That's the heart and soul of Richlands football. Well I guess Big Creek too but that's beside the point.
Just mentioning Creasy's name seems to get people fired up. Regardless of everyone's opinions on his QB abilities, Carter is a great young man that will be an asset to our area as an adult. I've seen on here a few times where people question his toughness. I can tell you he's one tough kid. He's been through to be so young on and off the field.
Talked to someone with more knowledge about Taxewell County school system and found out the coach doesn't have to teach, just be approved by the school board, so that's that. IMO Brandon Breeding would not be a fix. Don't get this wrong, he's a good guy, but he's part of the coaching staff that went 0-10 this year, so how is that going to change anything? Once again in my old crusty opinion, and some won't agree, it needs to be a clean house type deal, and start over, why hold onto pieces of the pie if the whole pie is molded? I wouldn't eat it.
It depends on the situation. Breeding was part of the current staff but how much input was he allowed to have? Tony Palmer was part of the staff under Mike Williams if I recall. Sometimes I think programs that are so rich in tradition do not accept outsiders all that well. I have no idea what kind of coach Breeding would make but I wouldn't overlook someone from Richlands.
I've seen several Instagram pages that are Barstool THS or Barstool GHS. It's more than likely a student(s) that creates the page and posts on it. I think about all schools have them. I'm sure nobody from the school or staff actually runs these pages.
This has to be a Graham coach, and I’d bet money it was Tony Palmer, himself. I would hate to be your quarterback now seeing as how Graham still tries to recruit them. Instead of “if you can’t beat ‘em, join em”, it’s “They can’t beat us if they are with us”.

I don't know if I would clean house Tru Blu. Not saying that approach is wrong, but a guy like Breeding could be super, super valuable. Has excellent technique knowledge for backs, blocking, cutting, etc.
A Head Coach's critical thing must be the Coordinators. That's the Brains of the operation. Sometimes, the HC is also the coordinator of O or D, but if you can get a guy that knows something about O or D where he could be the coordinator on O or D, and he has the brain power and humility to have someone on the opposite side of the ball to coordinate, you get wins.
You need 2 guys with brains, scheming knowledge on staff. The Head Coach needs a specialty (either O or D, and he needs 1 more brain guy on O or D. All the rest....you need technique and discipline guys. That's the formula in my opinion.
Don't know which version of Graham will show up. One version wins by 30, the other only by a couple scores. Tough Out-of-district opponents make a difference in the post-season.

Graham had a few head scratcher games early on but right now it seems they are clicking pretty good. I know the the competition may have not been that great but they seem to have gotten the penalties, injuries, and turnovers somewhat under control. It's that time of year when @BandanaVTDavis4321starts talking about the teams with good running games coming to the top. With Clements appearing to be healthy now I think they'll continue to improve. I guess time will tell.
Has anyone warned Ridgeview they aren’t allowed to speak at the game?
Don't worry they'll whine about the officiating the ENTIRE game. This includes coaches, managers, moms, dads, cousins, etc. The staff will spend more time crying about the officiating than they will making adjustments.
Hats off to Tarter for stepping in and doing the best he could under the circumstances. Gotta admire those kids for playing until the last snap. Many could have quit or transferred out but chose to stay. That says a lot about them.
I was asked who I thought would be a good replacement for HC. We all have a opinion, so I'll ask everyone on the board. "Do any of you have an opinion on who or what Richlands should do if anything??
I didn't think you would ever ask. @1Wingit23has my vote. I know he's a diehard Giles guy but we've seen that connection work well in the past for Richlands. The man knows his x's and o's as good as anybody. He'll have them bench pressing Volkswagens and squatting trucks in no time.

I wouldn't bring it to Graham next week. I'm pretty sure Bluefield passed a noise ordinance. They don't allow fun there either. A horn may scare the Graham kids anyway. They are not used to anything louder than a golf clap.
