That's odd. I heard his family rented a house in Double Gates today. For those that dont know Double Gates is across from Graham High School😉

I think this game may be closer than most think. central has 3 solid backs that can run the ball well. They beat Union at their own game. Smash mouth ground and pound. Everyone had Union locked in once Lomax went down so obviously it was a Polier show. That’s not the key with Central. I picked Central last week in a non-upset, I’m going with them again this week. Good luck to both teams, I think it will be a great game to attend. Safe travels for Central players and fans.

Never bothered me. I sit a few rows down in front of them. It sits on top of the fence and projects over the top. It’s not an issue

Graham will win big.  Next year though look out for Central they will be team to beat in my opinion.  Sorry Union folks as long as we have no passing threat we're not gonna be any better then this year.  I hate to see Central on top but next 2 years are theirs in district play and maybe state.  

I'm no fan of Ohio State but I'll cheer on Adkins if he goes there, lol. Gotta support our SWVA boys. Heck, I'm cheering for Purdue and VT these days.

I’m a Graham fan and former player.  My brother played for Graham in the early 90’s.  I remember as a kid watching my brother play and hearing air horns and cowbells Coming from Graham fans the entire game.  Yeah I hate the train horn Union has but if there isn’t any rules against using it, then I simply just chalk it up to home field advantage.  If we would have beat Union in the regular season maybe it wouldn’t have even been an issue for the playoff game.

89 was a special year. I believe a couple teams in Region D went home with a state championship that year. One of them even repeated the next year.

Graham lost to Bluefield and Union @ Mitchell Stadium during the regular season.
One thing some may not know ... Graham and Bluefield alternate each year as the designated home team. Every other year one team (home team) occupies the home side of the stadium which is the press box side. This year Bluefield was the home team ... and Beaver fans occupied the home side. Next year, Graham fans will occupy the home side while Bluefield fans will sit on the visitor's side. Every other year is a home and visitor rotation.
Kinda cool!

And in the SWD except Graham have gotten the basketballs out, whats your point?

Considering the VHSL willingly allowed the 1989 state title game to be played at Mitchell Stadium, this would be the stupidest protest since yesterday’s Harvard/Yale game.

People will protest anything now a days.

but seriously, good luck to both teams, you both earned your position to be there by proving yourself. 

I'm pretty sure they're being facetious. It's not even a "state" playoff game. It's a regional contest. Even if it were true that would only serve to fire up Graham's players and fans. That would un"wise" on Central's part, lol.

Called it

I put an order in for some new cleats from our good friends in RICHLANDS...for the UNION team. Let the rain come in regardless if we play at the park or APPALACHIA. We'll be ready for you G-MEN!! GO BEARS!!

I wish, but sadly the offense has became very vanilla and they don't run nearly as many jet sweeps. If the weather is bad at all, I'll be surprised if we see many since Union has had issues with exchanges on the motion action.
I like the I formation if they're gonna run Polier 30+ times, it creates better blocking lanes, but the kids are gonna have to turn everything upfield and not try to get the edge on a very fast closing defense.
I still hold that Union is at their most dangerous getting the ball in space to the playmakers more often and punishing teams for stacking the box with 9-10 guys but the offense hasn't executed very well on the few occasions Union has tried in recent weeks. 

Union will completely trash your first sentence defensive setup. At least part of it.

So sorry the rest of us Union fans will just quit talking on here and just let you speak for us all.
