This is the first true test Chilhowie has met all season.  I don’t think Galax is consistent enough to play Chilhowie toe-to-toe how Chilhowie wants the game played.  I’d say Chilhowie by 2 TDs.

It’s game day. Kickoff weather for 1pm will 48 degrees and 50% chance of showers. You’ll need rain gear for the first half and then it should be cloudy. 

I think the majority of Marion fans are pulling for Chilhowie to win it all or don't care either way.   The bitterness and acrimony between the schools faded away years ago.  It could best be described these days as a friendly, neighborhood rivalry.  Go Warriors!

Sorry but Chilhowie doesn't need any home cooking to win, never have never will..... They win just fine on their own.  Low insinuation 

3 words .....Can be beat

You must be from Saltville or Marion.  LOL.  I've been concerned with Galax all year as a big threat to Chilhowie if they make it there. However, Galax's playing has been so inconsistent its so hard to tell what they really have.  I've watched them on film several games and still not satisfied for myself.  I'm traveling to Galax shortly to watch them live and in person, so I'll have a better opinion this evening.  Who knows, Narrows may upset them, and Chilhowie get could upset too. Nothing is guaranteed this late in the season.

Good luck to both. Hoping PH can stay with Chilhowie to make it a great game for fans to watch. I think Chilhowie wins, extends their season two more weeks, & brings home a state title to SWVA for Division 1A. Both teams very impressive and congratulations on great seasons no matter how it ends up Saturday. 

This is my feeling as well. I would not call it a participation trophy for everyone cause there are 7 teams in the district. Each coach is trying to get some attention for their players. 

All district teams may be a joke to armchair qb’s but to the kids on this list it means something I promise. Sure there are always a few political picks and there definitely are on this list but it’s always been that way and always will. 

Some folks on that other site are pissed at Galax for not playing Friday night or Saturday. Given the circumstances, Galax is doing the responsible thing and I applaud them for it.  Some people are just hopelessly irrational.
If attending the game is that important to them, take a sick day. 

It's sad really.  That undisciplined play is the one thing holding PM back.  If I'm a part of their administration, the HC would have to answer for why his teams continue to behave this way.  

Chilhowie has too many play makers for PH. The only thing that makes this game close is if chilhowie over looks a talented PH bunch. Even if they do I think chilhowie is just too good and will pull away in the second half. Both teams are having great season though hats off to both staffs and those kids.

I may head down and check this one out. I'll be in shorts though. Who needs long johns hahaha.

When were all playoff games played at local colleges?
And when did we start moving football games because a field was muddy. 
I'm guessing after 92 on the second question.
Let's just move all playoff games to the mini-dome, quit keeping score and give every player a hug and a trophy at the end of 4.

In the last few days, dickenson  co. Has lost 3 lives due  to auto accidents.  Had another who survived.   So, everyone be safe , be alert,  we all get on here and b.s. alot, but in the end, we are just folks. Much respect  to Richlands . Know they are still hurting from Johnson's  loss.so safe travels to everyone...

Fiser will be held to a season low, not hard to defend the TOSS when you know it is coming every play. The Warriors will not be challenged until AFTER Regional play.

This one is a no-brainer for either choice.

And if you are including 3A, Garrett Amburgey of Abingdon.  Guys, he took over head coaching duties within 2 weeks of the season starting at A-town.  He did a remarkable job.

Fiser probably gets lose a few times and scores twice but that is after Sanchez and Cale both score 2 of their own and chilhowie defense lets down their guard some. Great players are going to make plays in big games Grundy has 1 chilhowie has about 6

PH is way better than Grundy, and Grundy ran at will on Burton.

42 may be just a little off but I think it will be close to that, give or take a couple of points. Midway through the season Grundy hung 31 points on Burton. PH put 23 points on the board against Chilhowie and Chilhowie has a stout D even without the 2 starters they were missing. I think PH's back field is a bit better than Grundy as far as the running backs. Burton is talented and has grown up since the beginning of the season. I just think PH will wear down the D. Just my opinion.

Naa Everyone has their opinion. I just try to look at this year and what they have done.  Not what would have happened or how many times they would have won against some one.  It's playoff time.  Win or go home.  No matter who you have or don't have.  A complete team doesn't depend on one player. I guess it could be said if Chilhowie had scored on the 4 and inches in the state final, the score would have been 14-7 right before half. Then if they hadn't have fumble on the first drive of the second half they might have scored again. If their RB hadn't got hurt in the second quarter. Riverheads beat them, no excuses but that was last year. Over and done with. I try to show respect to all teams.
If Galax is playing to their competition then it should be a good game between the two (if they both make it) because Chilhowie is a legit team. If Galax plays in a lull, Chilhowie will beat them comfortably. However I do give Chilhowie the edge this year.  All they got to do is take care of business like they have been. 
If we all played by our opinion or ifs,  all the teams would have 10 or 11 different championships..lol
