Thank you for saying that before I saw that classless post, It's easy to sit all comfy and cozy and slam that bunch. Walk a mile in their shoes. You can best believe that were Twin Valley on our schedule, the vast majority of the folks in BSG would understand. There's SO MUCH more to life than this little game.

For the record, it is best to take assumptions out of the equation. With all due respect, we had every reason to think that we would be able to complete the current season. With a roster of 18 players, we have played with this many in the past, we expected to take our share of knocks this season but we also expected to finish the season. This wasn't the "good old college try," I assure you of that. Nonetheless, circumstances, which I cannot discuss, put the team in a very awkward predicament that the administration could not, in good conscience, allow the team to continue. Player safety became our number one priority and our hand was forced. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we would have never been in this situation and would not have been forced to make this decision and in all likelihood have finished the season.

Yeah man... normally I agree with your posts, but that's a bad take.  Respect the Panthers for giving it a go and continue to pray for those affected by the awful flooding  in and around Oakwood and Pilgrim's Knob.

LOL.  I know Greg Mance, not like you do Hokiebird7, but I know him, and he always was the kind that would back down from a challenge and bolt when the going got tough, LOL.  He's like Salem.  He's a loser!!!  LMAO.

The coaching staff for Richlands is God awful. Jumping on the Tarter bus might have been a bad call.

Lots of negativity from the Blues all over the field. They gave up after the first drive. Possibly the worst coaching staff I've ever saw in Richlands.

I guess a lot of people are picking Union, but I'll have to go with the "Blues" in this one by a field goal.  Always seems to be one of the better games for these two teams and hopefully the TCSB regulations don't upset to many fans, this too will pass. Safe travels to all those Union fans, and hope all players have a safe game.

In later years some of the Salem players admitted they also wore the longer kleats, and after all that should have been checked by the white cap and flagged for illigal equipment, 15 yard penalty with the equipment being removed from play.  That situation was far more than kleats, it was the old plough boys beating the high fashioned race horses and the VHSL was not pleased with the outcome. The Salem coach complained about the field, the fans, the RHS players, the bathrooms, the signage around the fence, the loud barking dog in the neighborhood, and how bad the lighting was on the field.  You would have thought Salem had lost the super bowl, and the coach could not understand how a bunch of good old Blue clad hilbillies could best his fine oiled machine. As a Blues fan, we still hear this BS and probably will for the extent of my life and beyond. I was present for that game and loved every minute of it!!!!!

Is it really football season if no one brings up the cleats? Some people have a hard time letting go 😂.

Okay, I'm a true Blue fan, but don't have much faith in lady luck showing up at every game.  Could Union borrow Gate City's center for the first half, please.  Feel bad for the kid, but those over the head snaps were a defining moment in the game.  I'll go out on the limb with this one, I'm gong Richlands 24--Union 21.  Bandy kicks a 47 yard field goal on the last snap of regulation to win the game.  Buckle up boys, it's going to be another fun game to watch. I'm not delusional, just old, and it could happen, you never know with these two.  Hope all Union fans have safe travels, and if it's good food you want to eat, visit the Railroad Depot in the center of town.  Good people.

I mean — this literally the exact same schedule as last year. They could go 4-6 again (just like last year) and nearly upset someone in the playoffs (like they just about did to Ridgeview).

I’d rather play the schedule that makes you better than feast on JI Burton, Eastside, Honaker, Hurley and Rural Retreat. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'll agree with that statement.  There is always that fan for every school though.  Know what I have seen from Central last year and was scratching my head on the play calling early in the game.  For Tazewell people there is no real familiarity with the M7 as we don't play them overall.  As far as the talent, I can't speak for the RV QB but I would love to see him matchup against Creasy and see who is best.  Hard for me to believe that anybody is better than Creasey from what I've seen but they could be
If you notice the lean of the board fans is whatever teams seem to be having their best seasons.  Five years ago Graham fans were a little more quiet and Richlands fans dominated the board.  Tazewell fans have been here same overall.  We are thrilled to see our team being relevant again and you better believe we are going to support them and think that they are great and have big aspirations for the season.  After all what's so wrong with that considering Washington and Dallas fans do that every year...

Very true, but Tazewell may be a bit closer.  There will be eyes on a 2 or 3 Dawgs this year too.  🙂
Graham got more then their fair share last year, send some over this way.
Just kidding.  I like to see any of the county schools have success.
I'm enjoying a nice season for THS baseball and softball right now, it's great for the community and school pride.  THS has had a state champion wrestler this year and 2 state champion indoor track athletes.  I predict a couple of more state titles from the track team this spring.  The school is having a ton of academic successes as well the past several years.
Graham and Richlands have also had their share of success the past few years, it's quite impressive how our kids in Tazewell county have performed.  We are lucky to live where we do, the school buildings may be old, but the resources inside (the kids) are second to none!!

Yeah and Tom Brady is coming in from Tampa to QB. LOL You guys still have to talk about Richlands eventhough everyone receives transfers.  But I gues if you shed the light on Richlands, it's from the envy side of things and you can remain in the shadows. You have got to love it!!

Jack started the program at North Carolina Wesleyan and had them in the Division III playoffs within five seasons (where they became the first #8 seed to knock off a #1) and he maintained some pretty impressive recruiting contacts throughout his extensive collegiate coaching career.
I'm all kinds of biased because the Ginns have been longtime friends of my family, but he is a first rate individual who should have a tremendously positive impact on Marion's program.
