Curious as to how many regional wins Union has? That one win in the Arby's Classic would be more impressive if more Wise Co. teams had played in the Arby's , as Eastside and Union are the only Wise Co. teams to do so.

Why such low numbers of players on the Union teams?

3 good teams in this tournament, Eastside, Central, and Burton, and those three have the best coaching. The rest of the field was down.

Agreed. The kid at Northwood is the real deal, and Powers of Eastside is definitely a top 5.

I don't trust that underground network, or any forecast for that matter.

Sadly, some people call themselves die hard fans, but get butt hurt when their team is not winning, and stay at home. Kids deserve support whether they are winning or not. Fans complain about the kids that don't come out for football because of other sports, but then don't support the ones that have the heart to get out there and play and give it their all. They also like to criticize the ones that do play for not being good enough, or not being tough enough.

If football was important to the administration, they would be out recruiting a coach, not relying on applications to fill the position.......just saying.

All District teams have become a joke, a participation trophy for everyone. I'd much rather see a state champion, or even a regional champion.

Selections are so political these days, I usually don't even look at them. The best players don't always get chosen.

I see Graham as being more explosive, but if Union can pull off some of those 8-10 minute drives of the old Appalachia days, this could be a ballgame. You can't score if you don't have the ball!

This one is a no-brainer for either choice. Jeff Robinson of Chilhowie in 1A Rick Mullins of Ridgeview in 2A And if you are including 3A, Garrett Amburgey of Abingdon. Guys, he took over head coaching duties within 2 weeks of the season starting at A-town. He did a remarkable job.
