I will never underestimate Crist getting less out of more than any other coach in this area. 

“Outcoached” is the key word. Appomattox can out coach Crist any day of the week but maybe Radford’s talent can carry them to beat Appo.

Radford's Crist is a carbon copy of his dad from Blacksburg.  All 3 sons have not fared well @ football actually, this young one is just like his dad unfortunately.  At Virginia High his record was pathetic, 2 VHS coaches he followed won 55% and 50% of their games while Crist won 40% and was 1-5 in playoffs.  The elder Crist won 1 playoff game @ Blacksburg HS as HC over his last 20 seasons, 1-9 playoff record from 1994-2014.  David Crist was 2-26 versus Salem from 1990-2014, Crist lost 20 of 23 games versus Willis White, you get the picture..........

Radford was very explosive, but sooner or later you have to play defense. Kids today don't want to do that because all the newspapers and highlights are of touchdowns. Even the max preps and va preps only show value for it honestly. 

LBs "D1" rated kids arent from LB feeder schools.  Zero imagination on offense, lack skill players, no threat to pass/catch ball.  LB tries to overpower teams, when they encounter well-coached teams they are toast. They got dominated and pushed all over the field by Christiansburg OL/DL.  Games wasnt as close as the score.  Not impressed with LB nor with way program is run.

Bad football coach and a worse human being.  Both of which were on full display tonight. The truth never stays hidden for long...

I'm all about second chances to but this is a pattern.  He's been warned before and there has already been a set down.  He needs to go.  What happened out there tonight had the most diehard Raddy fans like myself feeling dirty.  Just felt dirty.  He needs replaced.  He ain't a good coach anyway even when taking away his bahavior stuff. 

If he threw a tantrum over the hit on the QB then he is dead wrong...it was just a clean hit that nailed the QB and he fumbled

I agree 100%....the way he acted he should never be leading kids again...he should have been thrown out 2-3 times...he really showed his ass tonight...nothing like his father at all

Exactly. There’s no reason they shouldn’t be playing for a Championship this year. That’s not knocking Graham or Glenvar but that is so much talent on one team. 

If they want to win and have a coach that sets an example for his team, they will get rid of him asap

Doug Smith would take this Radford team and win the state championship 10 out of 10 times!

Guarantee you this, only my opinion, Doug Smith could take that Radford team and beat his own by 2 touchdowns.  Coaching was all of the difference in the world.  Pennix being out hurt Appo.  If you watch closely, he didn't play but 3 offensive plays in the first half and got the ball once in the first half.  He played defense in the first half on most of the snaps, but not all.  He wasn't returning kickoffs which he normally does, and he played fulltime in the 4th quarter, but clearly didn't have his burst that he normally has, even though having him at 70 or so percent was dangerous enough.  

Michael Christ should be fired and never be allowed to coach football again.  He melted down and the next play was a quagmire with another unsportsmanlike penalty.  All the talent in the world and he could only call three basic plays.  He is a complete idiot.  How he wasn't escorted out of the stadium I will never know.
