SWVsportsNUT reacted to Bluefield researcher in Week 8 points
Maybe Princeton's players should be playing for Princeton if you want them to win games.

SWVsportsNUT reacted to Bluefield researcher in This is craziness
And guess what. All the kids on both teams know and accept reality. They don't give a damn the next day. they were just out there having fun. It is the 35 year olds that have problems with reality.

Since the Richlands/Bluefield series was renewed back in 07, it's 6-3 Bluefield. That's not as lopsided as some of y'all make the series out to be.

It’s not particularly clear from the photograph posted that #5 (Steele) isn’t in fact lined up directly behind Forrest. That would be a valid procedure violation.

Yep those officials were something else. Especially that one wearing #28. He even set out the first quarter. Imagine if he had officiated the entire game.

I was curious about what went down on the onside kick as well because we know the ball clearly went 10 yards. Looked at the rules and it states the following “Players on the kickoff team are no longer able to get a running start before the kick and players must be distributed evenly on either side of the kicker, five to his right and five to his left. So, I looked at some video and this is what I see on the play. Now clearly, I am no replay official but from the looks of things you can see that the side Levi kicked to has 6 players on that side. I am going to attach the image. Not trying to start anything at all either. Hopefully if anything this clears the call up. Best of luck to both teams going forward.

Even without a break (fantastic news), ligament damage many times can be worse than a clean break in terms of rehab and return. Continue keeping Harris and Jones in your thoughts and prayers.

This picture seems to justify the officials call based on the rule you state. The rule you state says there has to be 5 players on each side of the kicker. This picture clearly shows there is not. It is also not clear whether #5 is actually on either side of the kicker. He could be ruled directly behind the kicker.

SWVsportsNUT reacted to Tiger 2000 in Richlands @ Bluefield
The blues played tough. Simmons played good with all the pressure and Webb put the team on his shoulders in the first half. For bluefield. I was impressed with Martin , Davis , and house. The kicker is great too . Good sportsmanship on both sides. Bluefield is the better team. No one can argue that and be taken seriously. The blues played tough. Kept it within reach most of night. Good game. Bad officiating for sure. But the best team won and the blues played well enough to beat most of the remaining team a on their schedule. Good ball game. A lot of players on that field that will play Saturday ball. Don’t get to see that each week.

I think this game will be a lot closer than people think. Bluefield 30 Richlands 18 (6 field goals).

If this game was at The Ern, I'd say the Blues keep it within 20. However, this one is at the Home of the Flattails...45-19...Beavers...

SWVsportsNUT reacted to IRISH-FAN18 in Richlands VS. Abingdon
I could see Richlands pulling this one out. Coming off a bye week, fixing & adjusting some things, Abingdon also maybe over hyped coming in to the season. Richlands needs to stop relying on Forrest so much though. Funny how they can always get to the 20-30 yard line and then just settle for 3. Need to stop settling for FG's and get the TD's. Maybe set Forrest and tell the offense to learn to not lean on him so much.

Hated this BS. I truly thought when Bluefield got the ball back, the Beavers would score an win it. Credit LB's run defense and you can't take anything away from that, but good Lord, there must have been a total of six 1 on 1 tackles by LB defenders 3 yards off the line of scrimmage that could have been not just huge gains, but scores, and I will be damned if LB didn't go 6 for 6 on those 1 on 1 near misses and I mean near misses. Play by play, Bluefield couldn't run it at all, but...….there were about 5-6 absolute near misses, a one on one tackle that would have had big gains or touchdowns, and LB went 6-6. Not to mention, several Bluefield WR's running not open, but WIDE open and the ball just inches to high or one foot to the left or right. The loss of Johnson was huge tonight and I think the difference in the game. This loss has to sting for Bluefield because I just had the feeling from the opening kickoff the Beavers were going to win it. Bluefield is/was good enough to beat them and that's when a loss is tough. Good luck to the Beavers the rest of the way and may the Beavers go on to bring home a 12th.

You all will see about “high power” transfer when they are able to move Devin back to slot and have Jamir throwing darts. I guess sometimes moving Devin back to QB in certain situations. Jamir is an excellent quarterback and this will do wonders for their TEAM and to me that makes him a “high power” addition for Graham. I didn’t necessarily mean individually “high power”. I am talking team dynamics and possibilities that he can bring to the offense. I also agree and don’t like the transferring mid season and being eligible immediately. I guess it is what it is... Good luck to him and the team going forward.

You may be surprised who has been rubbed the wrong way by this transfer. Hopefully it will all work out in the end without too many getting upset.

I believe you are correct and I see no reason why he wouldn't be eligible. I'm sure we'll know for certain come Friday night.

Perfect time for this thread. Word on the street is Graham is getting ready to get a high power transfer this coming week which could REALLY help Graham out tremendously if he is eligible to play this season?!?!
