Guys, if he was saying sexual stuff to high school girls, he deserves to be fired. End of story. 
This isn't about #MeToo or anything else, it's about protecting young girls from being sexually harassed or objectified by a teacher or someone in authority. 
It's not appropriate and it's not okay. If he didnt, then he has every right to defend himself. But the number one concern shouldn't be his job or status as a football coach, it should be keeping creeps or worse out of schools and away from young people.

Odd that Gate City hired a coach with 0 head coaching experience over Reed since he's such an excellent candidate.

17-26 in 4 years. Finished above .500 just one year. Never won a post season game in a heavily expanded playoff format. I think Battle needs to raise their expectations. At most schools these results would equal hot seat talk.

Time to get a new AAU coach. College coaches do not prefer specialization. They want well rounded athletes. 

This is the problem with high school sports right now, too much specialization. If you have a good athlete, and they enjoy playing multiple sports, that need to play. Instead, you get a coach in his or her ear saying focus on this and you will be great, or don't play that you might get hurt. Any school in SWVA, I don't care where it is and what size, is only drawing from a limited number of kids anyway, if you have 700 kids, you might draw from half or less of that. So when you take a kid who is a stud out of the mix, it can really hurt a program. No sense in coaches ever discouraging a kid from playing a sport, you are only hurting your school and his team mates. 

Why? Is he the only applicant?

I agree that Amburgey did a good job considering the timing of when he got hired. My argument against him winning the award would be he finished first in a 2A district with a 3A school and then got blown out in a 2nd round regional matchup. Winning the Mountain District is great but I don't think many people had picked Graham to win a state title before the season began which is more impressive.
