Will Mr. Davis, be the girls softball coach, next season ?

I wouldn't think so IF he goes to Graham to coach. Would sure hate to see Ronnie ( coach Davis ) go.  He's a good guy and a good coach and would be a good addition to any coaching staff.  I think Brandon will do a very good job in Richlands and I am happy that He and Thad are here now,  but I wish that Ronnie could have stayed and had a role in our coaching staff.  But Thad has a right to choose whom ever he wants to be his coordinators and coaches and he has had success wherever he's been so far,  just as coach Davis has the right to go wherever he feels is best for him !

But I wish coach Davis the best wherever he ends up,  just wish him a little more success if he is able to stay here somehow !

  2. Doug has talked about retiring and "IMHO" it will probably be sooner rather than later,  but I would be highly surprised if it was this year.   But of course,  I may be completely wrong here,  it sure wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong on here................come to think of it,  I've been wrong a lot on here,  so just disregard anything thing I have said !

There is no seating right now, its pretty much call in order and pick up or they'll deliver.  Be careful what you wish for in regards to the heat, they can melt your brain if you want...they have one called "Tongue Torch", it isn't just a name, it's telling what it will do...

Thanks for the menu !  The prices look good !

The only problem I've run into is they are sometimes out of bone-in wings and I end up getting boneless...not really a problem in my opinion.  My wife swears by the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich.  The fried pickles are good to....caught me by surprise the first time, thought they'd be "chips" but turned out to be "spears".  I do highly recommend the Jerk wings...add heat as desired...

we are heading up to Bluefield next week so that will be the place I try !  Sounds great,  I love the bone in wings,  but don't mind the boneless if they are out,  and gotta have the heat,  for me the hotter the better.

Can a "random football thread" go off-topic?

If so...J&Z Grilling in Bluefield, WV has the best darn jerk chicken wings a human can find this side of Cuba...ask them to add just a little heat and they are superb!!!

I've had them three times in the last two weeks...thank you for my stimulus check, Uncle Don!!!

LOVE my wings Gman......gotta give those a try !  Thanks for the heads up !

  8. Yeah,  I miss march madness, NASCAR, college lacrosse,  and MLB.

Been a big Orioles fan since I was old enough to be a fan,  but they haven't been much for the last couple of years and may not be for a while as long as Angelos is the owner.

Hoping football returns this fall.  That should mean that maybe this virus is on it's downward spiral.

  9. Well,  we had a good run !

I will always be grateful for all the fun we as Blue Tornado fans have had over the last 20 years.  A lot of programs have never come close to the kind of success Richlands has had under Coach Mance !  I have a feeling that some of the fans I heard complaining about his coaching  ( it was a small minority )  will find out that you better be careful what you wish for,  sometimes wishes come true.

Thank you Coach Mance for all you have done for our little town............you will be missed,  but I wish you and Ann all the best in your new journey !  Also a big thanks to all the other coaches on his staff over the years for all their hard work !

Notice that no Richlands fan has talked about any other game than Central. One at a time. Next one is the most important one.

Just what I was going to say Ryan,  We have been in the playoffs enough to know that you don't take any game for granted and never look beyond the game ahead of you.  I can promise you that Mance and staff are thinking of this game only right now,  will they scout the other games......of course like every team will be doing,  but they only have Wise on their minds this week,  and so does every Richlands fan I know !!

  11. I am of course a Richlands fan and played back in the 70's and have been hit similar and made similar type of hits,  and we would have been praised for that back then,  but now with the new rules you get flagged and tossed for those type of hits. I understand why and I think you need those rules to protect the kids,  but in my opinion, like several have stated already, he should have been flagged and gave a 15 yard personal foul and maybe even warned by the refs to not make another high hit again or he will be tossed,  but he should not have been tossed that time. I understand the refs doing so because it happens so fast and the hit was high and looks violent and they want to error on the side of safety,  but the kids only have so many games to play in and you hate to see one taken,  but the refs have to make a call without the benefit of a replay.

I understand why they did what they did,  but just think it should have been a 15 yard personal foul and the kid stays in the game.

This is how I feel, too. But I've heard that he's on the fence. So you never really know.

This is the same thing I have heard from good sources Ryan.  He loves Richlands but may think about some other opportunities that may or may not come his way.

I don't think he knows 100% what his future plans are going to be.  I think if the RIGHT opportunity ( whatever he & Ann thinks that would be ) comes along I think he would give it some serious thought of leaving.  But I guess we will all find out when he decides to let us know.   I hope he stays for as long as he wants to coach here..........He deserves and has earned it !  He has taken Richlands football to a consistent higher level than what it ever was before him

    Just my opinion though.

  13. IF  ( I say If because I wasn't there to see it for myself )   Princeton showed the kind of,  or lack there of sportsmanship that everyone that was there is stating,  then I hope Graham lays the Smackdown on their ____ ___ !  No place for that kind of stuff on a high school football field !

Could anybody that was there fill the rest of us in on what Princeton did when the game was over ?

I hope the Harris kid is not hurt badly enough so that he misses much time,  but if he does, I hope and pray for a quick recovery !
