Schools in Central VA are leaked ADM figures in advance, which allow the school districts to ever so slightly adjust their boundaries to keep themselves just below the cutoffs.  What Albemarle County and Charlottesville City have done to ruin 3A is borderline criminal.

Having an outside eye to implement schemes to match personnel with strength is really what queued the turnaround.  VT has always been at its best with a mobile QB and offense that doesn’t make mistakes to beat itself.  They have that now.  Nothing flamboyant or spectacular, just executing each and every play.

Bringing in Jerry Kill was also a stroke of genius (easy to say in hindsight, of course).

Galax has 13 penalties for 140 yards.  Auburn has 90 yards of total offense. Not the time of the season for Galax to get undisciplined.

I don’t know about the coalfields, but we do it the RIGHT WAY here in Smyth County. Once a field is selected, fans will complain incessantly on Facebook and implore local media to escalate the situation.  At that point, a hometown “hero” will write to our local State Senator requesting him to intervene. The Senator then contacts VHSL Administrators who in turn select a more “suitable” field.
