He melted down and the next play was a quagmire with another unsportsmanlike penalty. All the talent in the world and he could only call three basic plays. He is a complete idiot. Coaching was all of the difference in the world. Pennix being out hurt Appo. If you watch closely, he didn't play but 3 offensive plays in the first half and got the ball once in the first half. He played defense in the first half on most of the snaps, but not all. He wasn't returning kickoffs which he normally does, and he played fulltime in the 4th quarter, but clearly didn't have his burst that he normally has, even though having him at 70 or so percent was dangerous enough. He made some defensive adjustments against us that limited us to 7 in the 2nd half, and that came off a Grayson fumble to set us up goal to go. Granted, he benefited from some mishaps from us, but the bottom line is they gave themselves a chance because they did what they needed to do to stop us first.
