Everybody played last night. Missed more free throws than I would've liked but hopefully that gets improved before December 6th. Hampton finished 29-7 last year and made it to the state semi's. I have no idea what they lost from last year though.

Appo not getting the ball but about 5 times the whole game will work as good as wet field conditions....play keep away. If Union can pound the ball on them and eat some clock I think they have a chance. I'm gonna say Appo wins but I think its pretty close, Turner will have a good game plan:

Your trying way too hard at this and ultimately becoming the big dangling hemorrhoid in everyone's a$$. My response was to OLine77's comment about the schedule. And Helper doesnt have the slightest clue who I am nor was I taking his side on this debacle. I'm just calling a spade a spade....taking away someones toughest opponent's from their schedule and then looking at their schedule and saying it's weak is borderline retarded. And by saying this I'm not claiming Grundy's schedule is tough at all because I don't think it is. However, you look at a schedule as an overall average, not go through and cherry pick the best teams and deduct them and then tally up a final SOS. 
If GC's first 5 games weren't so damn tough.....why, they would've had an easy schedule! Am I doing it right?

I agree. I used to put quite a bit of stock into 8th grade ball and guessing when the varsity would be good again. However, for years Pennington Gap was the toughest team I remember GC playing in 8th grade and it wasn't even close. Would have expected Lee to be a powerhouse with those kids at some point at least.....yet nothing would ever come of it. (Nothing against Lee and you fans) I honestly could never figure that one out. Didn't know if alot of those kids just chose not to play varsity ball or what the deal was. Maybe this is an example of an exception and not the rule.

Well I'm really hoping if he values education that Notre Dame offers him tomorrow when he visits for the Miami game. Aside from their obviously putrid season, ND does a heck of a job putting TEs and WRs in the NFL.... especially TEs. And Notre Dame can offer a top of the line education. If he doesn't go to ND id like to see him play for VT. Wherever he chooses, I'll be watching him on Saturdays and rooting for him.

I think JSB wins it...but that's based solely off the way they played last week. If they play that way again I think they come away with a 7-10 pt win.

I would absolutely have Graham in my Top 3. Dont know of the order.....but I think Graham, GC, and Richlands will be the top 3 from SWVA with Union being right there contending as well.
 
I don't know much about these 4 teams rosters aside from the starting 5, but with what little I do know id have to give the nod to Graham for bench depth. Ill form an opinion on the young guys for GC after 3 or 4 games into the season. I think they will have 7 players that will give good minutes, but after that 7th man I'm not sure what the talent level will be like for the bench.

Lane Kiffin (a) will never be a head coach again and (b) would be an earth-splittingly horrible choice for ND...

I've been on both sides of that. I played on a undefeated 8/9th grade team that went on to be pretty good and I helped coach a 8/9 team that literally didn't grow after 9th grade and struggled at the varsity level. It's hard to judge but it's fun to talk about!

I had the pleasure of meeting this young man this past summer and was impressed with his demeanor. He seems like hes got a good head on his shoulders coming across as a polite well-mannered individual with unbelivable talent. Hope to see him make a name for himself and his family. 

Playing 10 straight weeks without an open date has never been a good idea. I hope and pray they get away from that.
