Just got confirmation job in abingdon is gone, like most of the coal mines, and wit that, I'm gone with it. South Dakota here I come, it's been real it's been fUn but it's not been really fun.

I don't see the reason for all the complaints, you were in the game with this "horrible" play calling. Some of you need to get the "ointment" and accept you were beat by the better team on this night.

One thing to keep in mind about the Falcon's schedule. They are already getting 3A points for all of the 2A schools they are playing. The problem isn't that they are playing small schools, the problem is the teams that they are playing aren't winning games. Abingdon had 6 teams on their schedule last year that won 4 games or less. Only 2 teams had a winning record.
 
Also, before going off and scheduling a bunch of 3 and 4A schools, they need to beat all the 2A schools on their schedule. They lost to Graham and still have to get by Richlands.
 
Moving to the Mountain isn't going to help them a lot as far as points go unless they can add some winning teams to their out of district slate like Richlands, Graham, and Blacksburg. Tenn High would be a good addition to that schedule.

I concur both way players should never happen after 3a,  
offense and defense systems can transcend classes. However the stigma that unless you are doing something that resembles what you see on Saturday, you are "wrong"

I see the MD as three tiers
Tier 1 Union unless otherwise
Tier 2 Lee/GC
Tier 3 Rv/wc/jsb

Union starts the district schedule and hopefully don't get trapped.

I, for one an guilty, but pledge at the end of last season to support my coaching staff and offer help instead of criticism. However we as former player and spectators are quick to bash and trash those coaches that give their HUGE time investment to make a good program, for 2k-5k more a year.
 
On another forum I browse, here was a good discussion, speaking of the hardships of coaching. So before I sincerely open my mouth about how bad coaching is I'll remember this.

I believe this game shows that grundy is now in the mid tier of the mountain district. It will be a hard fought game but I see wise's schedule experience kicking in, or this might be an eye opener.

I'm actually scared to make a prediction on this one. I do not remember what all Ridgeview lost last year. Based on previous scores Ridgeview has the edge of being battle tested (or broken) while lee high has diabetes from the cupcake factory.

Nah outside source that wants both teams to do well, more than most, however I have no faith in the staff at TW and the staff at Lee is much the same.
