What are the moderators' thoughts on a sticky topic of "Locals at the College Level" where we can track area kids playing college football?  It could be a spreadsheet or something similar:

Player Name       High School                 Position           College        Class/grade/eligibility       Notes:

John Doe            RichRidge HS (2023)      LB                 ETSU           (R)Freshman                   Redshirted 2023/2024 season

Jim Doe              Battleview HS (2022)      WR                Concord        Sophomore                     Backup WR, 15 catches, 230 yards, 2 TD

I think that we have enough people on here to cover all the schools in the coverage area.

This is something I've always been curious about. Where do they end up at after the first semester?

  2. ^^^^^happens way too much. Certain kids receive a whole lot of hype but when you go back and watch the film it speaks for itself. Film doesn't lie. When you can't take on a half way decent kid 1v1 much less get obliterated and you are still seen as the second coming of Reggie White because of who you are its a problem.

Former player with Emory Ties.....Thad Wells fits that bill lol

Also: Cain Ringstaff, Caleb Jennings, Jeremy Keene, Josh Keene, I'm sure their are others but those just came to my head.

Can them Keene boys coach? Maybe the old man can but I'm not sure them boys can😂

Anybody ever ponder the question about Crist in that.....

We thought it was all Crist, but maybe it wasn't Crist after all. Maybe it was just Virginia High because the place has been pretty much unwinnable for decades, regardless of who the coach is.  For those who haven't pondered this question, it might be time to start giving it some consideration.

I thought about that very thing as I was eating crow for breakfast this morning.

9 out of 10 times I’d say Graham wins but they were just the better team today. Hats off to them on a well played game.

I think Graham could definitely beat Radford had they played better but 9 out of 10? I don't see that. I think we questioned Radford after their close wins over Appo and Glenvar. In reality beating Appo was a huge mental hurdle for them. For many years Crist has been on the receiving end of verbal beat downs on here. Instead of wanting our Frosty's from Wendy's we need some A1 sauce or BBQ sauce to put on our crow.😂 Granted he has a stellar QB but what team at this point in the season doesn't have an outstanding player or two?

    7. Nickname of The Year- Jeff Tarter, "Captain" RMS RHS Titanic

    8. Can't catch a break (bad luck program): Council Cobras, winless since '92

    9. Best Helmet-Hurley, 'cause they don't give two sh!ts about your feelings

    10. POY in SWVA-Landen Clark, though I hear good things about Lebanon's QB

This definitely has to be a candidate for Post of the Year.

Yelp, you're probably right. The biggest suprise would be if TCSB would actually make a meanigful, well thought-out  decision. They could always do away with Football and just plant more pine trees behind the high school and then bus anyone who wanted to play football to Tazewell.  That way TCSB wouldn't have to worry about the Richlands High football program.  I probably shouldn't post this, it may give them the ideal, causing a delay in hiring a new HC as they  consider the probability of moonlight through the pines.

They wouldn't allow the planting of pine trees either. Shovels and/or heavy equipment on school property would likely make too much noise.

I agree somewhat. The line likely improved. However, I also believe the health of Clements makes the O line look better. The line doesn’t have to hold blocks as long, and the rewards of opening the holes (no matter how small/brief) pays greater dividends.

That is correct. This isn't a knock toward any kid on Graham's O line but Clements would make me look like a stellar left tackle. A crease is all he needs.

There are so many things this is evident with them on.  I don't think the school board has any fans from any of the three schools from what I know.  The superintendent does what he wants regardless of what anyone suggests to him but yet he has no spine to stand and make a firm decision either way.  Still trying to figure out how that works

The fact you just called the superintendent of TCPS spineless on here makes my day. This may possibly be the best of the year.😂😂
