I call dibs on nominating this as the worst thread of 2018!

Comparing VHS to Union's schedule isn't a contest.  I think the fact that Morristown West is a 6A school is why some may imply that was an impressive win.  They aren't good at all this season and you can't say just because they're 6A means that they are better than most.  TN High is better than them.  Graham is better than LCC and Chilhowie is better than Burton.

Nobody complains when the Mountain 7 teams beat Abingdon like last year, and they end up with bonus points for beating a bigger school.
Plus, the comparison of school size versus a 4 year age difference in teenagers is asinine. Now, if Abingdon’s varsity were playing M7 JV teams, then yeah.
I really hate the fact I’ve been forced to defend Abingdon. Bearcats hate Falcons and vice versa 🤣
 

First of all, Morristown is not good this year. 
Second of all, we also played Abingdon(much better than Union did) and Chilhowie.
So, Tn. High, Graham, and Chilhowie, all better than anyone on Union’s schedule. Plus, our 14-6 loss to Abingdon where we held Abingdon to under 200 total yards. We also made huge mistakes that game, but that’s part of sports.
Oh yeah, we play Richlands this week.

@Widespread_PanicI’m cool with you having your own opinion and what you believe will happen, may end up happening. I’m just curious as to why you think Va High is a bad team. VHS has underperformed this year But they have had a much tougher schedule than anyone in the M7.

Well if that happens I'll raise hell, just kidding.  Unions volleyball team has beaten Abingdon 3 out of 4 times this year so let's quit making excuses for the boys.

Beat them and it's not an issue. It should be a good challenge for M7 schools.

The premier high school football All-Star game in the state of Virginia has started sending their selection packages out. We found out today that one of SWVA’s representatives in the game will be a Virginia High Bearcat.
Congratulations to Aaron Rose in getting the rare honor for a Bearcat. The entire Bearcat Nation (especially this Bearcat Dad) is very proud for our school to have a participant in this prestigious game.
If anyone gets word of another SWVA kid getting the honor to play in this game, let’s post in this thread, so when the time comes, we can track, and support the young men who will no doubt represent our area proudly.
