Come on Victor how can you talk so bad all year about the team that your son fought for. By the way Wise central is also 4-6. To me it is a wash.  Va gives you the same points for playing below your class as in your class which is not good. VA also gives too many points to a team for losing. However they do consider and give weight to who you lose to. WV does not and that is a big negative for WV.  In WV losing to the best team in the state in the same as losing to the worst. At least in Va they give you some credit for who you lose to. I have an idea for a system but it involves subtracting various levels of points for losses but it would never fly because below zero ratings would not fit in our "Everybody gets a trophy" world.

No matter who gets the job, the culture needs to get back to the way it used to be. focus on football with the kids being the main focus. make it fun again with the most important thing being the kids, not the coach or record. also the GC posters need to be more positive about the program. all the negative posts whether they are about the coaches or program in general are here for all to see including the kids that play at GC. positive energy will go a long way towards improving the mentality of the program because football is not all physical. the mental aspect is a very important part of any athletic program.

people leave all the time for different reasons,  but if one athlete breaks your program then it wasn't much already.  it's the same everywhere,  not just the schools suffering bad seasons. as far as coaching,  it should be treated as any other job in every school,  in that if you can't get it done then find someone who will. 

Reed had very little success there, Owen's not much different, Lombardi would have been  lucky to succeed there. central had several good classes come through but yielded very little production. wish them luck,  it would be nice to have a tougher  district or at least competitive. it's never been for lack of talent or size, just direction it seems. 

should be top 4 on each region,  you want to make it then step up your game.  less than .500 wouldn't make it on most occasions. participation trophies and extra $ for vhsl, for what? 

I'm enjoying all the love for Union, but this is anybody's game. I believe it comes down to turnovers and mistakes. Team with the fewest, wins.
