The way I see it, Graham may pay a bundle to use it every season. But I didn’t see the harm in—who’s the town? Bluefield?—allowing this team to use it for ONE evening to practice on. From the looks of things it doesn’t appear to have given this Appomattox County TOO much an advantage. 
 
I’ve seen videos of both teams this year. Both have speed. Appomattox County has more discipline. Don’t be surprised if some key penalties will decide the outcome. 

I wonder if the abundance of holding penalties for Graham (and Union) is more closely related to furious, intense, run blocking style of play, rather than a lack of discipline? I tend to agree with another poster that you take your chances and play the percentages and accept that the greater intensity which leads to a breakdown in technique is sometimes worth the calls and that many more are simply not caught.  This could be a legitimate risk versus reward scenario.
 
Late hits, trash talking, losing composure, and bad behavior are definitely a product of lack of discipline.
I enjoy this board for providing such thought-provoking perspectives.

I think that too many people look over Graham’s ability to adapt mid game. I think RV’s best chance is to get a lead before the D adapts and the line starts breaking down. Graham tends to wear a team down over the course of a game, especially on the lines. I think RV will jump to a 1-2 score lead early, Graham pulls back by halftime. I  think Graham squeaks by in the 4th, both scores in the 20’s. (Unless either team implodes)

I wonder if the G-Men faithful will show up? Was very disappointed and seeing such a low turn out today. Even being down 30 points Gate City’s fan base was still making more noise. I know Mitchell Stadium can make a crowd look small but I don’t think Graham had enough people to fill up a single section today. With nasty weather Saturday it’ll probably sound like a funeral again. The 12th man wins games people! Stop being lazy and sitting at home to watch it online!

Poor line play, the QB makes a lot of plays with his feet.  Not enough against a team with a decent line and some athletes.

I agree with Jones, I would go Taylor as second running back after Clements. DL, LB's are all Graham. I know Tazewell fans will disagree but kids that perform in high leverage games and situations get the nod. 

Agreed. Too many with pie schedules outside of their district/region games that use big stats gotten against smaller or weaker teams to say their guys best. And Creasy would get my vote too but It’s this sort of thing mentioned above that makes me question myself. 

Bearcat run about to come to an end I believe.  Hogo schedule no benefit this week.  Ridgeview looks to be hot at the right time.  Several times during the TAZ game looked like cat and mouse.  RV too physical up front and better speed on offense.  Hope the Jones kid heels quickly for Baseball.

You will get no argument from me on the amount of talent that has been wasted over the years.  In 2008 talent was there to go far above what they did.  Other years as well.  I agree you should always strive to get better and that is happeningslowly.  Went from several years of 0-10 to sneaking into the playoffs.  Now we should be expected to do more.  Get into the playoffs, that's fine but win one and then more.  

Since 2019 they've had decent W/L record.  Covers the past 4 years, so the kids that were in the 5th grade back then should have grew up with a little better version of the Bulldogs than in years past.  Consistent wins over quality 2A opponents, or at least competing with them would be the next step (soon) or that culture is going to go away much faster than before.  That "we'll go 6-4/7-3 every year and get bounced 1st round" isn't good either, it's just not rock-bottom.  I'm not sure of the dynamics between TAZ-GRA/RICH, but it seems that more emphasis is placed on hating on the other instead of  working on their own deficiencies.  TAZ has always had big kids and athletic kids.  Guidance always seems a little off, even in good years for them.  Good luck to y'all in the future.

LEE'S RUN GAME WITH THE ADDITION OF THE FRESHMAN #4 ON SOME JETS AND #33 HAS HELPED THEM BALANCE OUT A LITTLE MORE WITH HUFF BETWEEN THE TACKLES AND THEIR PASSING GAME.  I WOULD SAY BETWEEN VHS/LEE THERE WILL BE 70 PASS ATTEMPTS.  NEITHER ARE RUN-HEAVY BUT PLAY DECENT RUN D.  IT'LL BE  A CLOSE ONE.

BY ALL MEANS, IT'S GRAHAM'S TO LOSE.  RETURNING 2D CHAMPS, 2A RUNNER UP, RETURNED QUIET A FEW.  SOMEBODY GONNA HAVE TO BEAT THEM PLAIN AND SIMPLE TO CLAIM KING OF THE MOUNTAIN.  THAT BEING SAID, IT'S STILL GONNA BE A TIGHT RACE DOWN TO THE FINISH.  A COUPLE OF TEAMS PLAYING BETTER DOWN THE STRETCH OF THE LAST HALF OF THE SEASON COULD MAKE THINGS VERY INTERESTING.  I HOPE EVERY GAME IN 2D IS 17-14ISH KIND OF SCORE.  GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

Most of you entered your last year knowing this wasn't going to be a championship season. In reality, you knew the victories and celebrations, would be few. But you still gave all you had. I truly respect your hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and dedication. Most of you were just nameless, faceless, numbers on a jersey. So to the handful of you I know, and the hundreds of others I had the pleasure of watching, thanks again for giving this old high school football junkie another enjoyable season. You will remember these days as some of the best of your life.
