How do they handle the moment? I always felt like you learn more about kids in high leverage moments than ordinary games. It gets no higher than the title on the line.

Richlands let him go and he didn’t coach 2016 or 2017 so I feel like he was a free agent at that point 😂. But hey, great addition to the GMen staff! One of the best defensive minds out there. Mance shouldn’t have let him go! We’re not giving him back to Tarter, lol! 😂😂

BandanaVTDavis4321 I hope your prediction is correct. I enjoy reading your takes on the games each week. I'm with Gridiron60 if Graham has one more point than Central at the end of the game. I will be perfectly fine with it. 
After last year I refuse to make an assessment on this game. I learned my lesson. 😂

Just clarifying . It’s going to be all about guts, old school. Very competitive. It doesn’t matter who the favorite is. I don’t think either team gets off the bus thinking they will lose.

I'm not making a prediction.  I predicted Graham would win last year and it jinxed them.  So, no prediction from me.

I’ve determined you’re using reverse psychology trying to get GMen motivated to prove you wrong 😂😂😂. I agree CW has some speed but they don’t have Clements kind of speed. 🤞 Fingers crossed Graham pulls off the win! I think if they limit penalties & win the turnover battle, they will get the 💍! I really think they’re more battle tested & played a harder schedule but I could be wrong.

It looks like Graham should win. Graham looks to be at least as strong up front and more athletic. The measurables favor Graham. History and being their and doing that favors Graham.  The eye test favors Graham. The only concern is what we can't know until they play, and that is..."good football players." Grahams got em, but Central might have a lot of em too. The Graham of 89 was like this. Not blazing fast, but quick, physical, not super athletic, but just 22 solid football players at starting positions with leaders all over the field. That Graham of 89 beat a Southampton team with 2 future NFL players.  This is the only part that is hard to know for Central until the game is played. Central has tons of seniors and may have just 22 solid football players at the starting positions.
Fans can't be over confident because I remember a heavily favored Graham team against Harrisburg just over 20 years ago (2001), and Harrisonburg had seniors everywhere, was loaded with just good football players, and played as a team, always in position, and seemed to get every bounce and every break. They did have Akeem Jordan who played at JMU, but Graham smashed Liberty the week before and was explosively athletic, and Harrisonburg fans in the parking lot talked about "just trying to keep it close." Few thought Harrisonburg would win.
Did you know that This poster set and watched that game at Liberty with Tony Palmer and a few other Graham guys back on the Saturday 21 years ago?  Ahmad was a sophomore on that team. I betcha a gazillion Tony will not and has not forgotten Graham being favored and losing that game to a 7-3 Harrisonburg (regular season) and I'm sure Ahmad (who still helps out with Graham) hasn't forgotten. Graham is going to be very well dialed in, prepared, and laser focused. Graham's going to win the 2022 state Class 2 title on Saturday in my opinion, but I'm certain the older Graham fans of my age are going into this without cockiness or overconfidence. The experience Ahmad went through on that day and Tony Palmer watching in the stands will serve Graham well 20 plus years later because Tony will be sure they don't come in and just go through the motions. They'll be dialed in, and Tony won't let a somewhat similar Shenandoah Valley team pull that off again.

I think Graham gets the award for state title number 5 in school history. Represent SWVA well, bring home that state title, and give em hell G-men!
 

Not going to argue who has the better coach or staff whom has to assist a head coach, they all have to work with what they have and make something work. The GMEN had the better team on the field saturday they made mistakes and overcame them. Appo made mistakes and failed to shake them off and capitalize on grahams mistakes plain and simple. Graham played a good game and came away as the winner and they deserved it. Appo started this season with a very young and inexperience team and thru hard work and determination made a very very unlikely playoff run. I honestly gave us no chance in the first round. Graham on the other hand started the season like a beast and i inked them in as state champs this year from day one. Congratulations to the GMEN and i'm pulling for you next week not to let me down and win that state championship. 

I can’t recall doubting them at all this year. If I have, I don’t remember, but I believe they have been favored by the majority every game.
It’s that vocal minority of opponents hoping to win. Graham is the Region favorite for the foreseeable future with the ingredients:
1. Good local talent-check
2. Good and stable coaching staff-check
3. Good community and administrative support-check
4. Successful culture due to points 1-3… check
5. Transfer of talent due to number 4 wanting to be a part of culture…check. 
 
The way I see it as it currently stands, only a historical class of talent challenges the G-men in SWVA besides Bluefield. Good luck and Go G-men next week.

Gmen2021, Graham had a couple close one's on those deep balls today as some were very well covered and Meadows overthrew a couple.  Appo is tough to throw it deep on with their speed, but just my take.........the players for Central will not be as close to the Graham WRs when Graham runs some of those flags next week.  I think Graham will have success with the long ball on Central next week.  Central hasn't played as much speed, not used to the speed of Graham, and I think Central will load the box like they have all year in the Shenandoah Valley and if they do, Graham can and will exploit that.  Graham WILL have opportunities and WR's running open on deep balls next week.  

I don't think anyone is trashing Graham. Just pointing out things they should work on because we want them to win.
Once my team is eliminated, just like others, I always pull for the Reg D representative.

Doing some research on fourseasonsfootball and found it crazy that Palmer is like 85-16 in his time at Graham with 6(?) of those losses coming in his first season. Outside of Bluefield, Graham has only lost twice @ mitchell since 2017. Both to Union. That is dominance that deserves recognition for Palmer.
