Just judgin by the video from their midnight practice, it looked to me like their numbers have doubled from last year. Possibly more.

According to the list given to the cheerleaders for treat bags being made for Meet the Eagles Friday night, Rye Cove has 37 varsity players listed. 4 Seniors. 10 Juniors. 9 Sophomores and 14 Freshmen. Probably the biggest roster for the Cove in around 20 years.

I am pretty sure that the Applebee's Staff did not see the Brawl. 
They are never around to see to their customers, pretty sure, they missed out on the "throw down in Blue Town!"

GC has good coaching, but if they got rid of one, it would be even better. He's ran off players, and prevented some from playing this fall that just played in the spring. Hearing reports that I've received from some GC folks, I wouldn't want to play for him either. As for the hogs, GC needs some. Radford's RB was as big or bigger than anyone on the GC DL that game.

I'll never forget them showing up at GC one night 5 minutes before the game started. They got off the bus and walked straight to the sideline, proceeded to kick our hind ends, and walked back to the bus. I had nothing but respect for that bunch.

I watched the GC/Union middle school game the other night (GC won 22-0) and was encouraged for the future. If I'm not mistaken, we have more on the middle school team than we do on varsity. Flag football had around 90 kids involved this year. So hopefully things will be rebounded soon. As for tonight, the kids will play their guts out. Hopefully both teams will stay healthy.

Maybe not a flashlight but Keokee used to have people in the rafters shaking the basketball goals when the opponents shot free throws.

Good to hear. That was sad to think about them having less than 30 players. 

Heard Gate City picked up several more to put them around 36. Still not ideal but much better than 29. 

I heard they had 90+ kids for flag football. Hopefully they'll move on to tackle next when they can and build this thing back up.

Any news is good news, when it adds bodies. may find the next all state linebacker just walking the halls.
