Graham looks to be using one of the starting D linemen very sparsely. I wonder if he’s nursing an injury or something. Or maybe they’re trying something different. Tucker is a bull for Galax.

They “really” ran at will on y’all with him out.  A whole 13 points allowed.  Union probably beats you 70% of the time without him.

Obviously since they're leading LB. I know you've got some rings on the tree like me Obs. remember when LB was terrible?

They were the doormat forever and a day!  I remember those well.  Pre-Harless, they were a complete joke.  Princeton, too.  How the cycles turn!

I am not knocking a single kid out there but how many times does everywhere say watch out for the middle schoolers when they get to high school or this year's 8th grade is awesome just for that talent to never develop or go anywhere

It’s almost as if the best 13-year-olds aren’t always the best 17-year-olds.  Funny how that often happens…

I never said the QB/WR combo alone means a team is unbeatable. I simply stated a pretty benign fact and you guys got all butthurt.

Graham did move the ball at will in the third quarter. Union just could not stop them and get them off the fiekd. Every third down was converted, no negative plays, etc.. And that was how Graham iced the game. I don't get why you guys are so offended. Union ran the ball very well until the field shortened in the red zone, had a wide open TD just miss on a pass, but they didn't make the plays to win while Graham did. Saying Graham wins 80% of the time is laughable in a game that close but Graham wins closer to 60% of the time, bout a coin flip. Two close teams.

Galax is traditionally very strong at the LOS and can run the ball very well. Union ran the ball for over 200 yards, Galax can do the same, but Graham is likely the better overall team and will win by double digits.

Counterpoint: Graham wins at least 80% of the time.

Putting in disc golf course at Bluestone...that'll draw in more things.  Also, someone just opened a disc golf shop not far from there just west of the Stop-In on 460.  To be honest, I am a bit excited by both.  As long as they keep the 4-wheelers out...they do nothing but destroy the environment in their vicinity. Besides, there are more than enough trails in Pocahontas and over the line into WV.  Town of Bluefield already owns two swimming pools, neither of which get used to their full extent.

As for the ISC at the McCann lot...all's shitz and giggles until the next big rain event that puts that lot 3 feet under water.  I can't see anyone wasting money like that, not even Tazewell County.

I can't speak for my bosses, but I'd be knocked off my rocker if ATVs were ever permitted in the Bluestone.  Now, there will be disc golf and hiking trails, and I'd suspect mountain biking trails at some point down the line.  That property is being developed very carefully.

As for the ISC, there needs to be substantially more lodging and dining for that to work as envisioned.  You can host a million AAU tournaments, but families aren't driving from Norfolk to stay at the Fincastle Motor Inn and eat at Hardee's.

At what age should kids start lifting?

Children can start weight training with free weights, elastic bands, machines as early as 7 or 8 years old.  I've done some of that work with 8U Coach Pitch (baseball) kids.  However, common wisdom doesn't introduce weightlifting proper until age 14 (8th grade).

Maybe I'm wrong but if he is out and with Creasy return, I think they stand a chance.  They are mostly a run team that executes very well.  Defensively we have a stout run defense.  If we can stay on the field for some offense then I do think the possibility is there.

Sadly won't get to make it as the good ole Burkes Garden Festival has me tied up.  Worst part is where we setup no cell service to be able to watch it 😞

Tazewell has to remain gap disciplined with them.  They’ve shown the capability to do so when their lines are strong, but Riverheads’s execution is the best I’ve seen in high school football around here.

Tazewell won’t lose by 50; that is an asinine prediction.  It’s going to be exceptionally tough and will require flawless execution.

Graham by 10. Union ran ball at will. Galax will too

8 points hardly suggests that Union ran the ball “at will”, LOL.  I’d bet everything that isn’t nailed down on Graham -10.  You should probably take a few days off the Board…
