Under VA's selling stolen property law (Virginia Code 18.2-108.01(B)), you are guilty if you knew or "should have known" that the property is stolen. Here's to hoping TN's law is more forgiving than VA's.
 
Rule #1: If someone asks you to sell property, that fact that the person is not selling it himself or herself is the most gigantic of red flags.

This is mainly for UVAO but this kid deserves public adulation.  Juan Thornhill gathered his football and basketball teammates together over the weekend to raise more than $6000 throughout the community to be donated to the Carroll County fire victims.  Thornhill's dad gave the check to Galax basketball coach Verl Brown yesterday before the game.

I have never been a fan of it in baseball, volleyball, softball, or basketball.  I wish the game limits would be expanded as well.

That's a fair criticism.  But after Edgerrin James left, indy never gave him much of a running game.  His defense was always porous.  His playoff record is subpar, but many of those teams he willed there without much in the way of a supporting cast
 
I think if you replace Manning with Brady, I think Manning has 6-8 titles.  Firmly believe that.

I work for a company in Bristol that makes custom electro-mechanical equipment for mining companies (transformers, substations, switchgear, etc.) and our biggest customer, the one the company was really built on, is the coal mining industry. However, this past year there's been some pretty huge changes with the decline in coal and we've actually taken on a huge job for a fracking company. I don't know where they do their fracking, but it's given us a lot of needed business, though I have mixed feelings about it since I'm against fracking. I also don't know how long it'll last since so many want fracking to end and as redtiger mentioned, jobs might decline in that industry when the wells are dug.
On the other hand, my company is currently sending me to Virginia Highlands Community College to take their electrical program and one of my teachers is the head of the solar program. From what I've seen and heard, solar is getting huge at VHCC and other places and they are pushing hard to bring more of it to this area. My teacher even told me he had a great deal to give John Battle a solar set up for really cheap, but the WC school board turned it down, saying they like coal better. Coal can keep us going for a while and natural gas can help, but these green energy industries really need to be pushed in this area. There could be lots of manufacturing jobs set up to build solar and wind equipment and businesses hiring people to install them. School districts are even being pushed to include more incentives for green energy programs (my teacher has gotten the technical school in Smyth Co. to set up a program where students can get nearly a quarter of their electrical degree through VHCC done in high school and is pushing to get the same done in Wash. Co. and Bristol....though they're more reluctant for whatever reasons).
Wind and especially solar can bring in lots of jobs from research to assembly to installation to servicing on both large and small scale in this area and if we really pushed it, we could lead the nation easily I believe. My company tried dabbling a bit in assembling wind energy equipment before and I hope they try it again and try to do a little more. Sorry for the long post, but since working for this company and going back to school, I've become very interested in this topic.

AB is having a pretty good year...he "should" move in to the top 150 all time on the rushing leader list this week. 
 
Considering he might pass Gale Sayers this year if he stays healthy....quite an accomplishment.
 
Other locals on the list...the Jones brothers....Thomas Jones is at #23 all time and Julius Jones is at #126.
 
Thomas ended up doing really well...if he had played one more year he would have easily been in the top 20 all time.

75-75.  Pitiful.  Atlanta's had a habit over the past few years of starting out white hot, then playing .500 baseball for the last 120 games.  This year, that's not gonna work.  Well, time to prepare to cheer against the Os and Gnats.

I taught and coached at Marion for 2 years, I know the current administration. There is no way that they knew about this prior to the Chilhowie game, if they had known, they would have immediately suspended those players.
 
Those of you who are trying to create something from nothing, let it go. The situation is now under control and the administration acted properly in suspending the boys. Doing what is right is much more important than winning a football game and the administration is more concerned about doing what is right than winning a cross county "rivalry!"
