Not a bad idea to bring back some of the the older coaches.  But, most probably wouldn’t want to put up with all the Mamby Pamby Wimpy Political Correctness nonsense that goes on today.

Railroad towns taking railroad trips. The Clifton Forge trip was a one timer. Roanoke Jefferson was one of the biggest schools in the state taking railroad trips on the N & W to major schools along the rails. Not that railroad is a day in the park but it wasn't a bad trip back in the day. Much easier than bus or van. Bluefield used to take train trips to Huntington, Williamson, Roanoke and other towns along the rail lines. Just pulling one example. In 2015 Bluefield played Mingo Central in a playoff game. It took Mingo longer to get to Bluefield in 2015 than it did in the 1930's on the train.

Watch your mouth when speaking to the president of the Greg Tester fan club. 

Lebanon has the real chance of becoming a dominant 1A football program.  They are also perfectly located to poach the occasional Honaker and/or Castlewood player.  They obviously have the blueprint with their baseball team. If they are already engaged in building consistency and structure at the youth level they are well on their way.  Daddy ball at the youth level erodes a program’s progress significantly.  And this region is known for some youth Daddy ball.

This isn't Salem replacing Stephen Magenbauer. This is Giles replacing Steve Ragsdale.  You have two ultra-successful programs where an "antiquated" offensive scheme is synonymous with the teams' very identities, which makes it virtually impossible to replace a legendary coach with an outsider.  

Why in God's name did someone dig up a 15 year old thread???  I should lock this on principle alone...

I have Graham, Bluefield and Ridgeview.  I also know the Tazewell schedule situation. I am only interested in COMPLETE schedules. I am not interested in rumors or I think we are playing .....  Now it is likely that many schools are playing the same schedule as last year with home/away flipped. If that is so and you are absolutely sure then that is ok. The reason that I am anal about it is it takes about 15 minutes to input a schedule to www.fourseasonsfootball.com and if it is wrong it takes 30 minutes to undo and redo.

City of Champions?????  City of Whiny Wimps.  Champions don’t go crying and whining to get the VHSL to move playoff sites because they are afraid they are going to lose like Salem did to Grundy in 1996.  A true champion reaches down for that little extra to overcome an obstacle to be a winner. A wimp arse loser whines, complains, makes excuses, and tries to get things changed to their advantage or to disadvantage their opponent. 
 
As for City of Champions, you might ought to check out how many state championships Martinsville has in football and basketball and Grundy has in wrestling (20 plus).
