Ethan Phipps from Richlands should be in there somewhere.  I really dislike the way these post-season all district/all region teams are put together.

The community, school, and fans are fired up! Even our neighbors across the state line are fired up!
This year, Graham has the honor of not only representing the Southwest district and Region D, but ALL of Southwest Virginia! Big shoes to be in ... but we are ready!
As an old timer here, I cannot tell you how proud I am of this team. When the G-Men take the field on Saturday, there is no doubt that I will recall being in the stands during the state championship games of 1989 and 1995. At that time, the reality will probably hit me ... WE'RE BACK!
    Go Warriors! Go G-Men!

Goochland traditionally runs double tight/double wing and is very, very physical.  They have added some wing action out of the shotgun recently.  I have talked with a Goochland alum that I know, during the season, and he expected to be in the finals and told me they are very good.  Like someone posted earlier, not many weaknesses.  If Graham get off to a fast start and can score quick....look out.  However, if Goochland slows the pace, Graham may get a bloody nose.  Regardless, these are the two best 2A teams in the state and the game will be a tremendous state final.  Good luck G-Men, represent Tazewell County well.

A foolish post that was derogatory towards Bluefield and WV football  warrants a truthful response, so I’m just going to going post an accurate story about Beaver history from online.

    Merille Gainer
“Football Coach. Thru the 1960s he headed a number of nationally ranked high school teams. A 1940 graduate from Shepherd College, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II prior to starting a long coaching career. He first gained renown at Big Creek High School in War, West Virginia but earned a national reputation at Bluefield High School in Bluefield, West Virginia. Taking over a chronically losing program in 1959, he won a state championship; over nine seasons, his teams had a record of 87-6-1 and won four Class AAA state titles, with three of the losses and the tie coming in 1963. During his Bluefield years he coached several nationally ranked teams and turned down offers from a number of major colleges. Following the Beavers' fourth championship in 1967, Coach Gainer retired, though his retirement was to be short-lived as he accepted an offer from Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, Virginia in 1969. The school had won one game in the previous three seasons but Coach Gainer immediately had them winning and the Patriots captured the Virginia state championship in 1973. The coach retired for good in 1978 but over the years was a highly sought after instructor for coaching seminars throughout the country. He was inducted into the National High School Athletics Hall of Fame in 1979 and the West Virginia Sports Writers Hall of Fame in 1986. Coach Gainer was the high school coach of "Rocket Boy" Homer Hickam at Big Creek and was portrayed in the movie "October Sky" by David Copeland. Today the stadium at Patrick Henry High School carries his name.

Youth league administrators need to stomp (no pun intended) this culture out by having a zero tolerance policy.  Empower the officials to eliminate morons and toss their butt out of the game.  If you eject them and they refuse to leave, forfeit the game or call the police.  Nothing better to set the example than seeing a turd wearing a pair of Smith and Wesson's to the back of the cruiser.  Gotta have someone with a pair of balls to say "not on my watch."

This is not only the case in sports but in every aspect of life in 2018. The my way and my way only attitude is ingrained into society. From politics to pee wee sports there is no exception, no middle ground or working for a compromise that will benefit all. This is what happens when you teach a generation that their wants, needs, preferences and feelings are most important no matter what the cost. I can name sports program after program where some parents prefer losing just as long as little Johnny or Susie gets their playing time and all the sideline coaches have it their way.
As far as grown men acting like children, a permanent ban from the sideline and stadium all the way to the high school level should be the punishment. It would go a long way in stopping this idiocy.
