Now sideline warning when the 50 Union coaches live out on the field 

No worries, I hear exactly what you’re saying.  Union is in trouble though.  I’ve seen this game show with Graham the last 2 years.  

Galax radio crew reporting the Altavista/Sussex Central score the whole game as if it were a live game as opposed to a final last night. 
 
Couple that with referring to multiple teams as “E”ssex, HUNaker, and Ryan Cove. These guys do NO research.

Watching Radford last night they are far too dependent on backyard style football: not enough running game, WRs run their routes and when the QB inevitably scrambles they just "get open". Both Graham and Union are too good in the box for that to happen very often imo. They do have athletes outside and the QB is legit though. 

Im excited to see how Riverheads does from here on in Class 2, not to see them fail but just because the competition and quality of games is gonna be great!  As ive said before im a big fan of what Riverheads does on Offense and im honestly pulling for them to have success

I'll be honest, I haven't been to a little league game in a while because of the declining condition of the program I witnessed a few years ago and maybe it has changed, I would hope so.  Looking back over the years, some of my fondest times was when I played little league.  Made a lot of life time friends, and the fact that we all were disciplined by coaches who gave their time because the love of the game, not to be recognized for their own career.  So to clear up why I quit attending little league: Last game I attended, Richlands had two team programs.  Both teams had an abundance of players at all levels.  I watched all three age groups play and noticed that in the upper age class, both teams had between 40 & 60 players dressed on the side lines, yes I'm guessing, but they both were stacked.  However I do know for sure, I counted, one team played a total of 12 players, and the other team played a total of 15 players throughout the whole game.  Both coaches acted like they were coaching the Dallas Cowboys or the Oakland Raiders instead of young minds eager to learn the game of football.  All the while the left out players were mulling around the sideline doing absouletly nothing.  That's not a feeder program, that's an I wanna be the winning coach program.  Back when I palyed many, many, years ago, we never won all the games, but everyone got to play, and we had a heck of a lot of fun learning the game.

Using 2D as an example of regional depth Ridgeview has been a very strong program the past few seasons and Wise Central had several years where they were very tough. Using the Tazewell teams that Riverheads faced as a comparison(I know, I know but its all we've got); Riverheads, Ridgeview, and Central all beat the Dogs in those seasons and I believe the margin of victory was generally higher for Rv and C (granted were talking about the end of the season vs the beginning). Id say those Central and Ridgeview teams could be seen as on Riverheads level and none of those teams won region. The past few seasons 2D has been stacked with 3-4 really good teams.

Something they've not experienced until this season. Not taking anything away from Riverheads in terms of the quality of their teams, obviously they've been VERY good, but the competition is MUCH stiffer in Class 2 than Class 1

I agree completely with "compete on a state level." What I vehemently disagree with is Region 1B is considerably weaker once you get below those top teams. In recent years, I would go so far as to say, Riverheads is the only 1B school since Altavista that could compete on a state level. No opening round game plus what amounts to two controlled scrimmages against inferior competition doesn't put much of a burden on the health of the players like playing playoff football in 2B will.

Outside of Altavista and Riverheads over the past decade, Region 1B has been the weakest region in Virginia. Riverheads hasn't played an opening round playoff game in several years. Region 2B is slightly stronger than its Class 1 counterpart. The road to Salem will be a lot tougher than it has been in previous years for Riverheads. They are definitely capable of reaching that goal but it will take a considerably higher toll on them physically to reach it.

I think at this stage they may have already adjusted.  Someone said it already, it's not their first rodeo but back to back to back in 2A will test their limitations.  Someone having a defense that is physical enough to do it four quarters is a rarity these days but if they have an offense that can jump on them and get out by a couple of scores to force them out of their element and pass a little more, it could happen.  They're so good at moving the ball and eating clock, and their Defense isn't bad either but we'll see.

They definitely have a shot but their path to Salem is a lot harder this year than the previous 7 years. 

I give them a 1 in 8 chance.

Interesting scene just before Union's kickoff after the 2nd TD.
Tazewell lady entered the gate, and was almost on the field giving the ref what for. It was bad enough that the refs directed Union coaching staff to call the police.
The lad goes back into the stands, takes her toboggan off, covers up with a blanket, then takes her green sweatshirt off.
Some Tazewell people met the cops on the ramp and started pointing towards the flagpole, seemingly indicating she "went that way."
The lady put her toboggan back on and headed towards concessions. Police went the opposite direction.
It was entertaining for a few minutes. Haha 

No offense to James River but I think Graham's middle school would look phenomenal against them.
