I think Union wins big. No offense to the Dogs, but I think they are playing a possible....possible state champion next weekend. Union is a bit different than the past. They got guys in the secondary that can run right with Tazewell.  I think many watching this game are going to be surprised at how well covered Tazewell's receivers are when they go on pass routes.
2 major differences with Union this yr from years past. The first is the Union secondary and their speed and the very few big plays they give up. Also, Union's big play threat on O. Can house it from anywhere. Speed at the skilled positions is what makes the Bears of 2023 Different.....possible state title diferent.
Just my opinions. I could be wrong.

More than anything, Eastside’s failure to be able to execute a free kick after a safety did them in. They were in pretty good shape up 6-2…but that changes quickly when you end up kicking off from your own 5 yard line because you can’t figure out how to kick a ball straight. Hell, punt it like normal people do.

Yet Eastside hasn’t been called for a single hold…..

A 1-9 last year team ES and what Mike is doing there is a feel-good story as well. I called this one last year that he would get it right in 2 yrs. That youth bunch is solid as well. Sparty will surely have their say in the CD the next few years.

Union will do enough passing to make sure that doesn't happen.

I am hearing that the parade was cancelled due to veteran's groups being committed to events elsewhere. If so, perhaps the town needs to clarify this because the timing is horrible.

Their line is a weak spot which speaks well of Huff to have gotten 1000 yards this year I would think.  

Ronnie Davis is not the answer. 
There needs to be some kind of rule or limit to how many times that a coach can quit, leave, then come back and then quit again, leave again and come back again and again. The kids deserve stability, which seems to be rare these days.

There’s a funny post on FB from a guy in Clintwood proposing a class on football basics before letting anyone into games next season.  
I for one wholeheartedly endorse this idea. Some of our fans truly are an embarrassment. 

Don't worry they'll whine about the officiating the ENTIRE game. This includes coaches, managers, moms, dads, cousins, etc. The staff will spend more time crying about the officiating than they will making adjustments.
