I would say Reed has been salivating over this game. He gets a wounded Central Team at home. This could get ugly. 

I have a question or two...Considering those links are 3 years old, if there is any merit to those lawsuits, shouldn't those have played out by now? And, if so, wouldn't the AD already be gone if there were anything to any of that? Seems to me, the answer to both of those questions would be "yes" if there were any substance to any of that. I think those are 2 legit questions, though.

At most schools you have a few B-Ball players who don't play football because of the scheduling conflicts between open gym and football practice.  From what I gather, McClung didn't play last year partially because of the injury he suffered the year before.  He is a leader on the B-Ball team, and other kids have followed suit.  All schools in this day and age have kids walking the hallways who would be good players, but they don't want to play.  It's not just at GC.  I think GC needs to start balancing out the football schedule.  Waiting until week 5 or 6 to get a win will fuel sour feelings every single year.  If they are going to keep the schedule, at least don't frontload it...spread it out. If you guys remember, last year at this time GC was in basically the same boat as now.  The sky didn't fall then, and it won't this year, either.

We get it, Neither of you two agree on the play.  But good lord fellas one of y'all just stop responding to the other before GMan has to intervene.  *Someone run to the concession stand for some popcorn.*  

Its a peel back block. The offensive player clearly leads with his shoulder blindsiding the defensive player. Had the offensive player led with hands it is legal. He did not, he led with his shoulder peeling back hitting the player. You can even see on the play that the offensive player has to come across the body of the defensive player so it was a blindside. I have no dog in the race. Not child at Va High. Dont live or root for Central. It clearly is a blind side block. You can tell because the offensive player had to fight to get his head across the defensive player meaning.....it came from behind or....THE BLINDSIDE.

Guys just watched the play and that is a football play and no he didn't even go to the ground. But in 2017 that is illegal. This is the rule "

Unless initiated with open hands, it is a foul for excessive and unnecessary contact when the block is forceful and outside of the free-blocking zone.” It is too late now for the Mullins kid and would not have changed the injury had a flag beeen thrown but it was illegal. Not cheap just illegal.

That should have been flagged. Kid led with shoulder.

If he did resign over player turnout for weight room good for him! Parents whine and go to board members wanting coaches removed. Then when you get a coach, the kids don't show up. Coach can't make kids show up, without the help of parents to hold these kids accountable. I think the loud voices who keep wanting new coaches need to go home and get their house in order.

Tim Burke defensive coordinator at Patrick Henry hired Tuesday night at Gate City.

Hit it on the head. He is physically unable to do the job. They had to drive the car up to the dugout for a lot of games. The man had a great career and is a legend, but he was physically unable to do what the job requires.

The biggest issue at Eastside is their athletes do not play football. They are basketball only. If their basketball kids came out for football they would dominate the Cumberland and be able to compete with the Lee's and Central's.
