I meant from Sturgill being so good last season. If they are a predominantly run team, they'll have a rough time w Union.

Been reading the board for a while, but joined last night. My name is Bob and I graduated from Lee in 2000 and now living in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
I've enjoyed reading and keeping up with all the local teams. Living so far away I probably wont post as much, but thought I would introduce myself.

From what I hear Pulaski has a "stud" qb that transferred from Arizona I think. But they got beat by an average Northside team and they beat down a weak Fleming team so take that as you will.

Razor, for some reason I get the feeling you must park a long way from the stadium, huh? How about I park in Claypool hill at Advance auto and carpool in from there with you? Will you pick me up and drop me off at the gate??? Lol. See you guys tomorrow.

Perrigan dislocated his shoulder tonight.  Happened in the first half and he had the shoulder popped back in and then it happened at the start of the 2nd half again.  Doc popped it back in but the kid was done for the night.  Like said in previous post, JIB had no speed from the front to block for that dreaded sweep they constantly run.  Union is either very good...or JIB is really bad...or a combo of both.  JIB had some very untimely bad snaps (both shotgun and under center) and that hampered them early.  The outcome wouldn't have been any different but Perrigan made have had some more looks if the snaps hadn't been an issue.  Union needs to tighten the kicking game up...they were like 1-4 on PAT's in the first half.  But they played very sound ball.  Richlands next week will be the "tell-tell" game for both schools.

He and the new HC at Furman were roommates at Furman. He didn't step down....he stepped up. The only people mare happy for Geirge are the coaches he beat for many years.

BigO. Doss and Sturgill are going to Hampton this weekend along with Howie and Asbury. Humphies from PH is going out there as well. Coach Palmer from PH is one of the coaches. VERY underrated coach!

My $.02 worth.....I used to let the Richlands transfer thing bother me. Then Abingdon beat them and my son graduated...now I don't care.
 
Look, if kids want to transfer anywhere, it's because the team is well coached and has a winning tradition. They wouldn't have that winning tradition if not for good coaching. Mance didn't start coaching at Richlands and suddenly 7 kids transferred in his first year. The man can coach, the team starts winning a lot, kids want to go there.
 
What I find silly is that people put so much into winning a high school championship. That life is over at 18 or 22 if you play college ball. What percentage of kids that play high school football actually play college ball...with a full ride? Very very low percentage. How about we raise kids with morals, determination to work hard at what ever you do, raise a God fearing family, and leave the world a better place while you're here. Trust me, I know the value in being part of a winning team, but there's also a ton of value in just being a teammate.
 
Transfer shmansfer......just be a kid while you can because once the bills start coming in the collector doesn't care if you played for Richlands or Mother Mary's school for the Blind and Limbless.

There's value in being part of a team that doesn't win all the time, too...that's when you become a better teammate and a better person.
