Suit Up 82 Report Share Posted November 27, 2017 Does anyone know if it’s possible to watch these anywhere online? I have a subscription to nfhs network, but they don’t have any upcoming events for football in West Virginia. I’d like to see the Bluefield game for sure. Bluefield researcher 1,195 Report Share Posted November 27, 2017 I actually think WVMetronews will show them live. They did last year and it's free. Suit Up and swva_havok_fan

stu_bean 1,058 Report Share Posted November 28, 2017 Somebody with knowledge explain to me why the championship is in Wheeling. Don't think there is any further possible team than Bluefield from Wheeling. Figuratively speaking that is

Bluefield researcher 1,195 Report Share Posted November 28, 2017 The city of Wheeling makes them an offer that they can't refuse. Basically they give the WVSSAC everything and they give a gate guarantee. Bluefield bid on it several times but couldn't beat the Wheeling bid. So the WVSSAC doesn't really care how far Bluefield is from Wheeling. They do pay for all travel and hotels for the team. They get the meals donated by local restaurants. They do a good job. The only drawback is the travel from the southern part of the state.

Charleston could care less to do the things to attract the games. They were in Charleston until 1994.

Bluefield researcher 1,195 Report Share Posted November 29, 2017 Been that way for over 40 years. Even when the games were in Charleston. But they classes were not always in that order. Bluefield played on Friday night in Charleston in 1984.
