pvfan 32 Report Share Posted October 24, 2019 A lot of talk on here about the 2D playoffs, has anyone worked out the 1D scenarios?
swva_havok_fan 1,261 Report Share Posted October 25, 2019 Well, I have brought up the discussion about the likelihood that Honaker will NOT make it even though they won the Black Diamond District...
swvafbrespect 67 Report Share Posted October 25, 2019 Honaker should get at 8 if they beat Northwood. If they upset PH or Ridgeview it is a lock and seded higher. Even losses to PH and RV they will pick up quite a few points.

They're not going to upset PH or Ridgeview.

Real Sasquatch 1,865 Report Share Posted October 26, 2019 (edited) Looks like Graham and Union may be on course for a possible rematch. That would be awesome. Edited October 26, 2019 by Real Sasquatch

Gridiron60 2,555 Report Share Posted October 26, 2019 I doubt any 1D that wins region will get by Galax. Maroon Tide is on a whole other level than Class A teams , heck they're on another level than many 2D teams. Optimal62 178 Report Share Posted October 26, 2019 The PH /Chilhowie game will be a lithmus test for a possible rematch in the playoffs. As well as having significant ramifications on the western playoffs. If PH wins and wins out, Region D will host the semi finals. If Chilhowie wins and Narrows or Galax wins out it looks like C will host. I believe it would be worth the trip up 81 to watch. Here is the updated points Redpride posted on the other board, he usually is right on it or real close. Patrick Henry (8-0) 186-23.25 2. Chilhowie (7-1) 172-21.50 3. J.I. Burton (6-2) 162-20.25 4. Thomas Walker (6-2) 150-18.75 5. Castlewood (5-3) 142-17.75 6. Eastside (4-4) 141-17.63 7. Holston (5-3) 134-16.75 8. Hurley (4-4) 130-16.25 8. Honaker (4-4) 140-16.
swvafbrespect 67 Report Share Posted October 26, 2019 It is now posible that not only will Honaker miss it is possible that Hurley does too. Hurley must beat Auburn to assure a spot. Honaker with a win over Northwood will help. Rural Retreat will be a factor with either a forfoet for Bland or playing 9 and dividing by 9 they may slip in at 8. If twin springs wins last two they go in also.

BigWinners 1,643 Report Share Posted November 4, 2019 Can Burton sustain the 2-seed or will Chilhowie make up enough points to tie and get the 2?
Optimal62 178 Report Share Posted November 4, 2019 If both win this weekend, the rider points is going to make all the difference. I think if both win Burton stays on top as I only having Chilhowie picking up 31 more points. BigWinners
BigWinners 1,643 Report Share Posted November 4, 2019 The cheat sheet VHSLhelper posted had them potentially tied but I didn't look at all the scenarios. I'm not sure it matters, I think Chilhowie likely beats Burton in Norton if they match up in round two, but home field does matter. Chilhowie played PH closer than I expected, so maybe there's a potential upset but it doesn't matter as Galax is gonna curb stomp whoever advances. Theres no way Chilhowie beats Burton at home this round. The first time was luck. Galax has only played 2 teams with more then 4 win.
