  1. I like the originality of Marion’s logo. It’s much better than the generic names & logo that the Wise county schools went with after the mergers.

  2. It’s the middle of the off-season. At least the thread has derailed onto an adjacent track and isn’t heading towards a building or something. 😂

  4. Looks like the John Battle and Rural Retreat logos are stock letters from Richardson. Not sure about Richlands, it may not be exactly like the Richardson letter

  5. They ain't out yet. Lol. They get Virginia High most likely in the Region, who they've already beat in regular season at the UVa-Wise tournament, which would get them to the semifinals against Union again where they will 99.5% be done. That will be the farthest they've ever advanced, so that should be considered an accomplishment in my book.

    Tazewell fall schedule

All I will say is will just wait and see what happens. I love away games but dang, going to Riverheads and Keyser, WV. Couple of long trips.

  8. I'm pretty sure both versions of this logo were used on the hip panel of basketball shorts in the 2000s. IIRC, the last time blue was used in football was the early 80s (a thin stripe on the sleeve). I think the cheerleaders still use royal blue trim.

I just happen to know Captain Stoneman. I've served with him for many years. I consider him to be an outstanding person, a model soldier and a first-rate leader. I wish him well in this new adventure and envision great things under his leadership.

Yerrick and I went through AIT together at Fort Jackson. We were in the same unit post training for a few years. I got out in 2000. He deferred a few years to be able to be an assistant coach at Oak Hill from 96-07 before resuming his military career. He served a tour in Iraq sometime around 2009.
