OK...if you haven't noticed, I've jumped on the MM bandwagon.  The kid is good.  If the big boys don't come knocking on his door soon, one of the smaller schools is going to get an electric player.  I've been watching lots of videos...he can run the floor, handle the ball, makes some great passes, is a danger to score from anywhere on the floor...guard him close and he'll blow by you for an easy dunk or layup, lay off him and he'll splash a three in your face.  Honestly, I'm shocked that the local big boy schools haven't already come knockin', he's a legit high D-1 player from what I've seen on video.

It would be hard for me to turn down any Ivy League school that came calling!  He needs to make the best decision for himself but the instant networking that comes along with an Ivy League education would be difficult to walk away from. 

He's gonna really pile up the offers while he's on this Adidas Tour against some of the best players out there.

We will have to agree to disagree on that. There was games that Ervin completely took over on the outside and inside both and simply dominated. He averaged between 26-28 ppg for most of the season and only had a few games where he faltered and alot of that was due to sickness (which happened on a couple occasions). Slagle deserved to be on that list with Ervin.....But not in place of Ervin.

The only instance to where a scholarship offer may have a slight twist is when the school offers a scholarship that isn't immediately committable....Which just means the coaches are slow playing the kid to make sure they can't find a better player at that particular position. These type of offers usually occur early on in the recruiting process. Or if your like Saban and Harbaugh they take alot of kids that aren't the typical elite players they normally get really early in the process just for numbers sake for a insurance policy then when much better players want in their class late in the recruiting process they "process" those other players or gray shirt them due to scholarship numbers.
 
But Mitchell is a Top 250 player in the nation.....Even the defending National Champions won't slow play Mitchell with a non committable offer. The offers he's getting are committable on the spot and he won't be "processed".

The whole Upward Basketball filth that is "everyone deserves a trophy" is starting rub off on some older people/fans. Sad sad times...People getting their feelings hurt over someone else being better. Just the cruel hand that life deals. That's all this boils down to really.

I would not characterize Tebow as arrogant but there is no doubt he is confident.  Terrell Owens was absolutely gifted and liked to let the world know just how gifted.  All "stud" players have supreme confidence in their abilities...some just exhibit it more than others.  High school kids are the same.  Nothing wrong with knowing you are good...

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that when kids share their hudl highlights to Facebook/Twitter that "check out my highlight" is the default status that hudl has built in

River...............I agree. Dean is playing nowhere near the level of basketball he played the first few games of the year. Truly seems to be an issue with his confidence. Not sure if it is because of the wrist injury, sickness, personal issues, or a combination. He did play with more confidence against Chatham. Of course we were up big. Is easier to have confidence if your team is up 20 points. 
 
Dan River played lights out against us. Their coach, in an article in their local paper, said it was their best game of the year. They played great defense, seemed like they could not miss, and absolutely wore us out on the boards. Early in the game only Mac and Zac could get shots off. Zac had to really work for his points. It is just my opinion, but I think that at some point Mac realized that if we were going to score, he was going to have to score. Were there times in the game where we had a player open and Mac still drove to the basket and took the shot, without a doubt. I am sure it happened several times. Could he have kicked the ball back out for someone to knock down an open 3? He could have kicked it back out, but with the way we had been playing, not sure anyone could have hit the shot. I think the game he played was the game he had to play to give us the best chance to win. 
 
Even with DR playing what I believe was the best game they could possibly play, the game was tied with 5 minutes to play. If we could have grabbed some rebounds, the game would have ended differently.

I think Richlands stays within 15 pts....Score will depend on if the 3 ball falls for RHS. I don't think DR will be able to repeat their performance from Thursday. Good luck to the Blues....Get the job done!

But if Richlands wins it will seem alot less boring in the end as compared to GC leading most all of the game in a score-fest then pissing it away in the final qtr lol

River.....I can assure you DR did not let Mac have his points. They were all over him. Mac just went off. Took over the game and carried us. He was exhausted during the last few minutes, missed a few shots, and DR took advantage of them.
 
Our defensive intensity was not there. Plus, they killed us on the boards. No telling how many second chance points they got. I would say easily 25.
 
We collapsed in the fourth and gave up 35 points. Give up 61 through three, and then 35 in the fourth. Amazing.
 
Besides Zac, rest of team was very timid. Some sloppy passes.
 
Oh well, it is what it is. Got to rebound (pun intended) and get a win on Saturday

GC has more fans here than DR, easily. Richlands side filling up. Chatham has about 14 people in their section.

GC and Richlands play tonight and two more games afterwards no matter what. Either team could lose tonight and Saturday and still win the state title. It's the game next Friday that's win or go home. The games played tonight and Saturday are to determine seeding for the state quarters

Well I got screwed at work and won't be getting to watch either game....No matter where its played. Would like to see both GC and Richlands win though. Might have to have the croop come Saturday and make myself present for the game if they both win.

Congrats Blues! I was wrong about this one. Sounds like RHS shot the ball from deep really well. Enjoy your first region win....You guys earned it.
 
Congrats to Union on a very good season as well. Tough bunch of kids that show alot of class.
